  1. Unless on a zero hours contract, an employee should get paid for contracted hours, regardless of the weather and other factors affecting the availability of work.
  2. No, but he states he wants to employ someone, so it's safe to assume he will provide them with all they need to carry out the job as he would be obliged too.
  3. I need to get a cpcs or similar qualification for 10+ 360 excavator ideally during his coming week. Can anyone recommend a reaininf provider in the South East or even slightly further away as I need to get it done ASAP. Thanks
  4. Hey we're using their own vehicle and trailer to transport his tools and remove waste etc they wouldn't be employed.

  6. £66/ month seems a bit steep for your level of cover, I have a similar policy but for about £2500 a month and a large payout if I were to die and that's £40 odd a month, I'm 28.

  9. Yes, however mone have torn open badly where the strap comes across the back of the boot, they'll be going back shortly. Other than this they are great.

  15. 20t 360 on the rope and burned the legs off with oxyacetylene dropped perfectly. The effort and kit to cut it and move it will far outweighs any scrap value I should think.
  16. Helped a friend out felling this today Single ladder right to the top, creepy looking back down once I got up there!
  17. Get them from two different brands then when one starts jacking the price up stop using it, they will call and offer you a decent price again....they are sneaky, I stopped checking for a while last summer and was paying about 5p over pump price!!

  20. They're very easy to remove once you learn the ways of the hydraulic couplings, releasing built up pressure and so on.
  21. How do you avoid chip shooting/spilling out of the space left for the crane arm at the front of the body? I've considered this but I thought it would make chipping a bit messy.
