  1. You won't regret a 90, I'd only swap it for a bigger one.
  2. If he's that keen instruct him to just leave he branches by the chipper
  3. Interesting, how much is it ? I thought the bigger machines were lighter as I was planning to get one in a few years. How much does an 1890XP weigh? That is the one with intimidator written on it ?
  4. Trucks looking good! Does the mesh hold chip ok? And do you find it a bit messy having no roof ?

Interesting, I was told I just needed a mask, not an air fed mask....I've had no ill affects whilst working like this so far though...what do you use Bob ?

My local place never ask what it's for and always recommend it. I've never sprayed with anything else.
  7. Standard 2-3 weeks with bookings here and there fill in the blanks as it suits. It's impressive how many of you are booked up a month or more ahead. I always leave a few spare days to fit in the desperate private customers and building contractors etc
  8. I've had a few, these values were not present.
  9. Tax incentives, they are alright for work but not a spot on a defender for hard heavy work, but it's 100% tax deductible and drives more or less like a car so why not.
  10. How wide as the one you looked at, the one in my pictures is 38" just under a meter, which I thought was reasonable.
  11. 250kg I'm told is their conservative rating only about 100 less than the £20k+ competition
  12. I got mine nearly two years ago now, it really is simple. I read these breads and only paid attention to the comments of members such as Peter, Bob and now myself and learned it was really easy, maid a guy to sort the o license and bought and built the lorry, there's nothing to it. Drop me a PM if you'd like to discuss it. I'm having to re apply for a new o license now as I've just gone limited, but I may do it myself this time as I have the application from last time to copy
  13. I sold one 12" by 20" ring of sycamore to a couple for £50 no finishing at all. So 10 of those all sanded and oiled must be £250 ish.
  14. My fitter told me recently, that all lorries must have 4 brake checks a year now.
  15. Also a lorry shouldn't fail an MOT, if the guys who look after it know what they're doing. Or your OCS will fall.
  16. I found another firm in Cornwall Pons Medda Engineering....sounds Welsh! They have bought the rights from Opico and are currently producing new ones and the pricing of there attachments and blank plates is very good!
  17. Ive found a skidster mini skid steer with 13hp honda V-twin as per the pictures. But I'm struggling to find any info about them on the Internet has anyone on here for one or know where I can purchase attachments etc or find detailed specifications. The guy selling r said atlas copco deal with them but I phoned them and they weren't sure. So any info or experience with the machines would be appreciated.
  18. Indeed, not worth the potential hassle really as it's no hardship using tachos, despite what all the guys who don't own lorries say on here....
  19. For lorries up to 7.5t.
  20. That is understandable, for standard tippers, my neighbours 8 wheelers seem to have at least a puncture a week between them.
  21. Mine was really straight forward, no restrictions at all.
  22. You can agree whatever inspection intervals you want up to 13 weeks, however I was advised to apply for my o license with 10 week intervals to avoid causing any hassle, then apply to stretch them out after a year or so once I can prove how little mileage the lorry is doing.
  23. O license application through a consultant around £1k Driver training to C+E ( more than you need, but may as well) £2200 Insurance is cheap if part of a fleet but dear if insured individually for a new driver. 10 week inspections are typically 2 hours labour if done by mobile fitter at your yard. General day to day running costs won't change much, and may even decrease long term as you won't be wrecking clutches, flywheels and springs etc like on a little truck. It will consume more diesel per mile but you'll do far less miles as you won't need to tip as often so cheaper overall on fuel IME, my lorry usually only gets filled once a month.
  24. Why must you have 6.5t, to get inside train weight on grandfathers rights ?
