  1. @Nikos Papadopoulos What exactly do you want from me? The diagram for the blade edge angles on a Jo Beau M300? They may differ from all other chippers - I have no idea
  2. @gensetsteve on here if he's still in the kindling market
  3. Yeah a small one with the Jo Beau. Includes a necessary diagram of the sharpening angles for the blades, a copy of which I always include with the blades when sending them off
  4. Recently died ash decided it wanted its final resting place to be my woodyard. Bless it
  5. You do talk some pollacks Steve 😂
  6. It is a great job. Looks to me like a hatchling dragging itself out of the egg 👍
  7. A sorry read that - giving up because of injury. I hope you have something lined up for your future and good luck with managing the injury
  8. Brill. But mullet over before you start
  9. I'm told by my mate in Scotland that Lodgepole is planted with Spruce because of its fast early years growth that don't actually smother the Spruce but do protect it from wind and weather. The Spruce catches up, overtakes and then smothers the Lodgepole: does this make sense to you?
  10. Well I'm glad it's not just me: I've always thought it takes a few minutes for my wee chipper to get up to max performance as the drum and blades get lubricated with sap, dew etc; you're right - they work better when not bone dry
  11. There was almost a crush on the train as everyone got their phones out to take pics out of the same side of the carriage! I came within a whisper of getting a very pretty photo bomb but she ducked out 🤭
  12. The sky was on fire wasn't it; I posted a pic of it on another sunset thread taken over the Tyne coming out of Grand Central Station
  13. Can't find how to insert type into a post with pics in it... The first one's north Newcastle yesterday (Forest Hall and not my photo), the second one's looking over the Tyne from the 3.56 to Kings Cross!
  14. Ah - he's surfaced at last! Have a good read through the thread Mark and mullet over
  15. That's a bit limp. It 😄 really isn't up to parr
  16. True. I don't see the porpoise of it myself
  17. https://www.kps.uk.com/contact-us/
  18. I tope not; Mark's probably floundering on his workshop floor trying to stop laughing
  19. Think the gills were done with a trouter
  20. Leave out the nonsense - it's just a red herring from the original topic
  21. There's a ray of hope @gobbypunk will show us more of his lady's artwork; let's not torpedo it with cheap puns
  22. Don't hound him Steve; he's the sole respondent to gobby's post so far
  23. Bats - 5 species active near the house in a recent survey Moths - see above and guess! Butterflies - poor to average this year; highlight was a Silver-Washed Fritillary in the garden a few times Bees - good numbers of Bumbles, average Honey types, a few solitaries (well there wouldn't be hordes of them would there!) Midges - still here in the afternoons. With the current still warm weather I wear a beanie after lunch if I'm home Salmon - not locally as far as I know 😊
  24. I'm good thanks. Doing way less work now thank goodness though if I can be of service as in the past give me a shout! Living right down the A22 now, between Uckfield and Hailsham
