  1. i just plugged it in and it worked, i can still use my old wireless laptop aswell:001_smile:
  2. am i missing something. is there more force on anchor points this way? is there a history of failure in the v set up? i would never use any anchor point unless i was 100% confident in it.
  3. so simple yet effective. nice one tom:001_smile:
  4. i was born in 1975, i have never been to arb college. that is why i asked the question.
  5. sadly i have never been inspired by people, i have always been driven by the need to prove myself to others, which i now know is rubbish. i watch the program 'the secret millionaire' when i see how some folk have had to fight for everything there whole life and others who help folk just because they want to, with no financial reward or praise, it humbles me. there was a guy on one night, who's wife left him with 3 kids and the eldest wee girl got cancer. this guy had no job, looked after the kids and gave them a great home. he must have been to hell and back. but he maned up and got on with it. the lady gave him 10k for a holiday. he couldnt find the words, and was embarrased but you could see the relief and hope it brought the guy.it happened on another episode as well, a guy gave up his job, moved to where his kids now lived. lived in a bedsit and had a crapy job. you could tell he never ate and was worried sick, but he got on with it for the love of his children. so i am now inspired by single dads who take on the world and win.
  6. that what i was thinking:sneaky2:but since i look daft i cant say much:001_tongue:great rig, but the length and manouverability would snooker me in a lot of jobs in around the town, but i would probably just by a quad to drag the brash the 500 yards just to chip so easily. if only hiezohack would do a pto chipper that has the hopper to the rear:sad:then i could have a monster 3 point linkage chipper that is compact:001_smile:
  7. find an arb buddy to share the fuel with and costs. these shows are great to meet up and have a laugh and get some good deals:001_cool:
  8. a couple of toffs went to jail last year or maybe the year before for cutting back nieghbours laurels, i know of someone that got fined approx 20k for sneaky hacking. ha ha i say:mad1:
  9. that chipper is a beast, i can only dream how good it wood be to chip banana, nugy shaped topped 100 times shaped cony through that baby. one day.
  10. you can have a conversation while standing at the chipper or working the saw no bother, if you spend the money and get the good ones
  11. you need to get up earlier, pick off the stickers and take the back roads, or get a mog that goes very fast:001_tongue:
  12. just put a back pack on full of bricks, weigh the rope, then weigh you. and make up the difference. but i am sure there is a corect way, try a sailors forum, but you might get more than you bargained on:001_tt1:
  13. sorry to hear that mate, keep the drink in the fridge and get a thread started looking for work in your area, then keep the cider for celebrating when you get some work:001_cool:
  14. when you get to the point of no return and the rope is heavier than you, then its not going to be pretty. i have heard some horror stories:ohmy:
  15. magners is a ground breaking step for gay cider drinkers like me, i only drink cider bacause its about all i can stand. magners on ice.mmmmmmmmmmmmi dont drink often but when i do its just the job:001_cool:
  16. not sure what you mean, is it a block and tackle set up. if so, watch the rope isnt heavier than you, a lot of nasty accidents happen on yachts with the bosuns chair set up. or maybe i have the wrong end of the stick:confused1:
  17. broken a few phone lines when i first started, cracked a few slabs and crushed a metal bin. chipped my climbing gear once as well.
  18. it used to be K cider when i was younger. 8.5% rocket fuel:ohmy:
  19. keep us posted on it mate, sounds good:001_cool:
  20. my mate has a newer one, it has cost him a fortune. he had to add leafs to the springs for one thing:sad:
  21. you sound like me, my trouble is i listen to others too much sometimes and end up getting put off. there will be a lot of pennies in a morbark chipper, are you buying new or are you going to adapt it like the a team would:001_tt1:
  22. nice one mate, i am jealous. any pics:001_smile:
  23. i remember seeing that mog for sale years ago i think on atkinsons site. you obviously know what you are doing, nice one:001_cool:
  24. how do you find the tp on the front?i was warned away from the idea as it can wreck your front pto and gearbox if it isnt set up 100% it will go bang.must be heavy on the front. what chipper are you going for mate:001_smile:
  25. so its twice as safe as a single line, twice as dodgy as 2 lines, but you are only going to drop the distance between the 2 anchor points. not a good way to look at it but you know what i mean:confused1:
