  3. i think you will find mine is bigger, more powerfull, a better colour. comfier seats and amazing airhorns. a better looking driver and a more useless passenger:001_tongue:
  4. i have been climbing for 12years now, and used the other end of my rope for the first time before christmas, i thought this is handy, as i usually would work with 2 lines, but i didnt like the fact i didnt have an end on the ground. now i have converted onto a hitch climber and ropeguide and have picked up so many diferent ideas on here i wouldnt go back to prussik or 2 ends.

  10. weak thoughts hold you back in life, i believe in positive mental thinking. not what if what if. there is a pattern to the folk that think mogs are all doom and gloom and super expensive and always break down, also fear their lives every day. its ashame:sad:
  11. to be honest i dont do much limbwalking, thats for novices how are too scared to knock off big lumps. we dont do poofy reductions round here, pollard or fell. simples:001_cool:
  12. i dont want to end up needing rescued, so yes i do:001_smile:
  13. ok then, spend 25k on a new tracked chipper, another 3k on a trailer for it, you better get a descent 4x4 to tow it 17 k. you now have borrowed 45k. you want that back in one year.so thats an extra 25 quid an hour.
  14. yes you do need to answer this john, i would have my strop attached so i wouldnt swing anywhere. and in that scenario you said i wouldnt be stuck out in the edge, i would be tight against the stem.
  15. woodchip mulch is a cheap option imo, i think its only good for making a big hole not as deep. tell the miserable millionaire he has not to leave it so long next time to sort out his driveway. and get you in more often to do the job right:001_cool:
  16. tell them you would do nothing different because things are going great and you wouldnt want to fix what isnt broken:001_cool:
  17. how would i get into this predicament?
  18. what size is the business, what type of work do they chase, and what age is the equipement that is in use?how old is the owner?is the company ltd? if they havent told you this in the question then i couldnt answer, and who ever wrote the question has never run their own business. imo
  19. there are different levels of work and different levels of customers. if you want to hang about with the gutter level of customer that gives you loads of jip, haggles and uses gypos and doesnt care about quality, go for it. if you want to be super dooper health and safety and tick all boxes, then chase the appropriate contracts/customers where they dont entertain cowboys.
  20. unbelievable, that has got to be the best crazy sport yet.
  21. i wish i had a better camera, that was just from one of the houses. the view goes all the way round to the left for as far ar your eye can see. i cut the tops off the guys 3 posts that made up the fence as they spoilt his view. the guy has just started working from home . he was delighted. without exageration bbb i bet they did put 10k on their houses today
  22. its cowal dave, just up a bit up the coast from bute. that is dunoon and the mountains in the back ground are looking west. with the holy loch straight ahead. thats where the american nato base was for 20 odd years. if you remember the pics i put up before with the reflection on the loch, which was loch eck at the foot of those mountains
  23. i never took any mate sorry, to be honest it wasnt pretty. nothing could be removed off site, so it is a big banking of brash and stumps:001_smile:
