  1. is that nomads old 1600 mate. i heard it went to skye. i recognise the 10, 5 gallon can roof rack
  2. that is hilarious mate, i hate dundee its almost as bad as aberdeen.
  3. i have always just been myself mate, you are going for a tree worker interview not a sales assistant in a shop. be early, on time and take your kit with you. i rate time keeping and manners above all else. once you are in the door then you can sus out the company
  4. evergreen oak lazy bones:confused1:
  5. just because you have calmed down and are fit and healthy, doesnt mean they should get away with it. what if they do it to someone who is ill, and needs whatever they are selling to make their life better and spend their last 2k. i would of been at the police straight away, then a lawyer. no point going to work to have someone steal it from you mate
  6. i would of thought so too:thumbdown:thats a lot of money mate.
  7. speed cameras are bright yellow and they tell you where they are. simples. dont speed:001_smile:
  8. are you getting the 2k back mate:scared1:
  9. whats a gatso? personally anything that keeps the roads safer would be worthwhile
  10. personally if it isnt made by a lovely italian female barista i am not interested:001_tt1:.
  11. leave the last latteral about 3 feet long, the last one before you cut the head out. when you fell it, and its on the deck, you can cut up the tree then use the branch as a lever to turn the trunk and do your undercuts, saves going for a felling bar:001_cool:
  12. good advice, but there has been too many crossed wires about bbb and joe's working relationship already on here.:sad:ps joe when felling between 2 fences remember the butt can roll when it hits the deck. pine is nice and chewy so leave an open gub so it hangs on and doesnt go anywhere:001_smile:good job wee man:001_cool:
  13. jet boil mate, i will bring it to the show to let you see if you want. 60quid
  14. i have seen one in action, truely awesome. you could hardly walk on this banking, covered in rocks and stumps. right job, right machine. i think they are about 40k though
  15. nice one rich, why didnt you just use a cabstar and spend 4 days lugging logs and sweeping up sawdust. that nice kit is a waste of time, keep it in the woods and off the road. it isnt possible to have kit like that and make money:001_tongue:
  16. i have heard this the last ten years, never been stopped, never been questioned. i dont want to give my wood away for free to guys with lorries and i dont think they would be interested in shifting half a ton of conifer, stuck down a 500 yard cull de sac behind a scheme for the joy of the firewood:sneaky2:
  17. you cant be very bidoingy mark:001_tongue:
  18. what usually happens is, nothing is said, you want to but can never get the right time or you are too scared to, then one day something happens and you go nuts and tell them to shove it up their bottom. thats how i went through about 6 employers in 8 months then started myself:blushing::001_smile:it is easy to give great advice when its not you having to do the confrontation. but talking is always the best way. it is difficult when you are younger. but you need to conquor your fears, i always hated confrontation and when you get older it gets worse, then anxiety kicks in and before you know it you have to start a stress thread. take a deep breath mate and pick up the phone and talk to the guy, dont loose your rag, just say what you want to, if you do it and end up with no job, it doesnt matter because you will feel great for making the big step and that is worth more than a poxy 6k a year. good luck mate
  19. i voted the other day john then flopped the other guys. ya big poof:001_tongue:
  20. cheers nick, will keep trying later.
  21. i did one over skippers canyon 10years ago, it was crap:sad:but those ones look great:001_cool:
