  1. the place is really wet, i am going to have to make an access path with woodchip and a big chipped are around it so the kids dont get filthy. then i will drop off some big stems for seats, the area where i thinned out the trees will be kept with long grass, before it was a haven for litter, the janitor wouldnt go in to get it because it was so dense. no excuses now. i am waiting to hear back from the council to see if we are aloud to continue(red tape bs)if you ask me.
  2. still cant get it into my head how you would install a cambium saver from the ground then get a rope through it, in my head you have to lower it back down and stuff, but it still doesnt seem to make sense:confused1:
  3. meconium. aahhhh you got too love that black stuff. stickier than a sticky thing:ohmy::001_smile:good on you mate. get stuck in, there is nothing worse than waiting around for a woman to get ready, if you can do the baby you will get out that wee bit quicker. unless like my wife she changes them into clothes that match:sad:
  4. i am going to pick up some oak tomorrow mate that i felled 2 years ago, i was planning on firewooding it mate. i thinkall 4 bits are easily what you are looking for:001_cool:
  5. i will pick your brains at the AA rupe, i cant work out how you do it with one line, saying that i have never seen a cambium saver before either:blushing: and mark, yes it would probably land on the pile of doom far far away over the fields:mad1:
  6. i love the look of that, i regurarely use 2 lines when climbing big stuff, but that has so many more advantages, and i have too re-rigg a 500yard long golf net thats 20 feet high through trees, and that little set up will be the dogs, save ripping my wee hips apart again
  7. i have been trying to work out in my head how you would install a cambium saver or ropeguide in a tree from the ground. in my head i need 2 throwlines and a lot of patience and there is only one big branch in the tree and its lovely and smooth.
  8. thats why i started this one mate, good happy thoughts all the way:001_cool:
  9. well made an echo log pile today, dont know the exact science of it, but gave it a bash anyway, it looks like one big pile, but it is actually made up of different stuff under neath, some bits just rotten wood, other bits with old grass and cony, some branches, some parts only soil, holes and wee paths inside for the prickly pigs. hopefully the bugs will like it. and i couldnt resist thinning out the wee alder and willow plantation to the rear while i was there. the kids all came out and mucked in and asked loads of questions to Mr Blair:sneaky2:. but were more interested in the quad:001_smile:

  22. for a small fee bob:001_tongue:
  23. it is amazing, the world is a different place to me now, i look at it like the Matrix, the blue pill lets you plod away and see the world as you do, or the green one lets you see what it is really like. when i would go on holiday, i would wear clothes i would never wear here, do things i would never do as well, because no one knew me, but it was my own anxiety, feeling i should act a certain way to keep others happy, but the fact is it doesnt matter, i thought the world revolved around my life and actions, but they dont, and that is a great relief to me.
  24. i was hoping it was a 400hp tree killing monster, but hey ho, they are all cool:001_rolleyes:
  25. i am a rich scotsman mate, i dont mind posting them:001_tongue:(its those miserable english you need to watch)
