  16. put a ton bag over it, tie it off at the base the tightest you can, cut in with a hedge cutter , flip it over. And it's in the bag! Dig out with a round mouth spade like a chocolate orange segment type way. Throw it all in the bag and burn at a later date, I personally wouldn't put it near my chipper due to doing it once before , even mixing stuff in lol. Or rip them out in oners with a hiab and stick in the trailer, once filled a 10 ton cylage trailer with 2!! Burn at a later date Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. I have a kibuto Rtv, much more civilised Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Unless I knew a lot more info about you and your business I can't give the best advice, £9k on a van sends alarm bells though. £9k can get you a transit high sided tipper and a chipper. If your starting out, £3k can get you a micro chipper that goes in a £1500 van. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. I often climb on 2 ropes And Prusik . So double DDRT. I would definately use SRT if I worked with another climber or trained groundsman on the right trees. My work is mostly topping conifers and Sycsmores or felling them. When I do have a big old tree needing a limb removed and there's no lower limbs, double rope and Prusik is hard hard work. As far as a single line being safer on a healthy limb, I feel that's bad judgement on the climbers part and also SRT puts twice the force on a limb/crotch as double.(I'm pretty sure ) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. I forgot the rope guide, that's got to be 1 of the best things in rescent years to come out!! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. I wasn't being sarcastic and I'm not an idiot either! I was having a laugh, it's obviously gone over your head. Read it in a year or 2 and you'll get it. As for speeding up, just do things quicker. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. If you use a top handle, stop! If you climb in Prusik, change sides or try VT, mechanical hitch . If you feed the chipper 1 sided, change to other side. You need to change what your doing and even stop altogether and rest it. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Let's not make this a men v woman thread. It's the individual not the gender. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Stay strong Rich, My brother got the all clear back in february, after they removed his brain tumour. REAL surgeons are amazing as are all medical staff and the NHS! Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
