  2. Stay strong Mathew, that's a great thing your doing with the benches and game. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  3. Boring through the stem with a 25" plus bar on spikes is creating a bigger risk imo, then trying to push a sling through that's thicker than the bore cut would need a pushing device like a measuring tape on steroids:) Not saying it can't be done though or I've ever tried it and thrown a tantrum, nope not me Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  4. Dig as much as you can out the ground with damaging as little as you ca. Dig as big a hole as you can, fill it with moisture holding material, peat, newspaper, leaf mould, stick tree in the ground. And water, don't over do it though. They sound small enough to do with a spade in about 10 minutes! Good luck Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  5. Rip! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. I remember that thread, I imagine every climber has thought of gadgetry at some point, then send, stuff it and kept doing the same old same old. Not Reg, I would think he has spent many a night in his shed putting his thoughts into reality. I've lost a few rings over the years dropping them onto brash or dumpy bags with sawdust, shoving them over the edge of the trunk cringing and preying it's not going to take off or ricochete into something expensive. Groundless poised like Joe Heart at a penalty shoot out, climber shouting RUN!!!!!! Or maybe that's just me:) Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  7. 10% is the norm, put emotions to the side. It's not a back hander, it's commission a finders fee. You pay it if you get the job, if he passes you 10 jobs, and you get none of them you have to decide whether his contacts are poor and his salesmanship isn't matching your business or your not good at your part. I'd happy pay 10% to just turn up and do the job and get paid. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. I have a Honda, and also a Scagg that's a 48" cut oh and a tail lift:) That's the key, lifting mowers is a back breaker, get some little ramps mate ! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  18. Old ones that have no names that I don't even know where I got them from are bullet proof. The fancy 1 handed 1 that cost £30 is a pain, always pumps fresh air and end gets stuck making me take tantrums! Hope that helps Ps I hate grease! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. The avant steering is great, it means you don't get wedged against walls and fences like skidsteers. Obviously this has never happened to me:) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. That's the best thing I've ever seen!!!!! Not far from me either:) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. Hodge they come in what's like vacuum packs of 3, on a pallet. I've built them like bricks and they take up approx 100cm x 100cm x 25cm wide .and there's less chance of spillage with the 5l plastic containers imo.
  22. I didn't know that Geoff, I'm just a pick it up and use kinda guy! I'll ransack the stihl cemetery and see if I've got some matches:) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Eddie that hedge cutter is 4 years old, original plug and lies on its filter side all it's life. I'll get it serviced and see what happens. The 5 litre cans are great, I bought a pallet. I just lift a couple at a time and decant 1 into the combi. I have had 2 caps leak fuel . It's been 26degrees here the last 2 days , so maybe a co incidence . I feel so much better, the last 3 nights I've walked the dogs to the top of the hills behind my house and not at all lothargic . Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Kumba had a teet removed about 6 weeks ago that had a tumour in it, she's back to full terrier mode, the rabbits enjoyed their break and are now back up for chases in the gorse bushes! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
