  1. I remember you used that first pic in another thread. Is the pic dated?
  2. Hope some of the LA members can give me a bit of guidance here. Can a tree which has scored 14 under the TEMPO system and subsequently TPO'd be worthy of such protection if it's causing an actionable nuisance? ie. It's roots and a buttress are causing upheaval to a concreted area c/w garden building.
  3. All the hardworking people, whether here or abroad, who have little to give but share it willingly. The foresters I met in Romania who shared their drink; the mountain farmer in Northern Spain who was struggling to load his donkey who gave me one of his cheeses.
  4. Slightly blurry one from last week as I packed up fishing.
  5. There must be other lurkers too!
  6. About right. 8 hours x 2 men = £400. I'd guess that's what a lot of people aim for. Plus you get the £150 on the way home for the Euc branch :-)

    Poppies

I always wanted to be an Impressionist but ended up being impressionable:001_smile: You should have taken pics of cornflowers as everything is a passing moment in time.
  8. Ah....the I'll shave my head and walk with attitude small body-part brigade:001_smile:
  9. Good job.....and they will get better:thumbup1:

    Walnut

If it's in a Conservation area then the LA will have the option of putting one on when you apply to do any work. Walnuts always seem very susceptible to honey fungus.
  11. At 19lbs that's one heavyweight!
  12. I'm really glad this subject was raised as I was beginning to think there was something wrong downstairs:001_smile:
  13. Had it from new 4 years ago and never missed a beat. Oil change after every ride.
  14. After the Powys Enduro. One lap of 150 miles. Today I'm knackered:001_smile:
  15. This is what I'd do. Apologise to the courier and tell them you'll have to sort it out yourself. You may get some refund from them. Get myself down to the suppliers yard for 7.30am, load up, give him a roasting and get back home for midday. Put it down to experience and never recommend him to anyone.
  16. Nice old stones. The skull and crossbones was widely used in 17th-18thC as a reminder of man's mortality.
  17. We had to. Not very sympathetic TO. I placed it and secured it in a place he won't see so maybe they'll use it again:001_smile:

    Poppies

They're not in a crop. Looks like pineapple mayweed growing with them. Maybe the crop failed and they left the field. Just shows what's lying in the ground ready to germinate!
  19. Looks even more like gas damage now with that cambial staining.

    Poppies

Couldn't resist taking pics of these.
  21. Just a few pics from today. A small cherry which became home to robins for a short while.
  22. Big fat leylandii full of bits to make you itch. Long drag and tenant of property sat on the patio with cold drinks. Never offered once!
