  1. I think the mulberry's sole aim in life is to lie down. Must be a very lazy tree:001_smile:
  2. Look for the stop tap in the pavement and then the entry point in the house. That'll give you a rough guide. Water services should be deep enough to avoid freezing. Doesn't the client want to keep the lawn as you're smashing big lumps into it?
  3. Round them up and 'volunteer' them for pedestrian minesweeping duties abroad or just chain gang them here. Just a thought but do insurance companies pay out for damage due to civil unrest?
  4. Thank you. I did notice that but maybe haven't enough conviction to go with it:001_smile:
  5. Damn...I wasn't entirely convinced. Back to the drawing board:001_smile:
  6. Just a couple of shots from today. Tree is having a light reduction. Hope I have my id right!
  7. Thanks lads. Been a long time since I've ever taken any heed of nagging:001_smile:
  8. Summer's here and the time is right for fighting in the street boys....well what can a poor by do...
  9. I've just had a can of weak cider, taking the dog down to the river and then doing a stir fry....can't wait. Enjoy your Crabbies.
  10. That's what I thought. Now where did I put that can:001_smile:
  11. Nothing would happen. Sometimes I don't have a drink but I do enjoy it.
  12. Several people I know (all women) have said that my drinking habits are close to alcoholism! So here they are: When I get back from work I look forward to a can of beer or a glass of wine. If I have beer then I'll have two cans or with wine about two, maybe three small glasses. I relax with it, cook my tea and then take the dog out for some training. I don't drink in the day but because I 'look forward' to my evening drink then I'm borderline alcoholic! Am I? Are they right?
  13. I'm with you there. Can't cope with the heat in these duvet trousers.
  14. Great pics. I used to love harvest time as a kid. Walking by the combine with sticks hopelessly trying to hit rabbits as they made a bolt for it and the driver with a loaded shotgun at his side hoping to get one too; riding in the grain trailers as they were filled and hanging in them as they were tipped! H&S would have had a fit and looking back it was so dangerous.
  15. I'm single too. Been divorced for ten years but my 18 yo lad lives with me and my 16 yo daughter stays two nights a week. When I was married I cooked 90% of the time and now if I don't cook I go hungry but I like cooking for other people and I ain't that bad at it. I just detest washing up.
  16. Buds aren't pointy enough for hornbeam. Definitely Nothofagus IMO
  17. Needed to use some well-rotted chip today for mulching and came across these. Just hatched and lots more eggs. Had to carefully place eggs back in the warm part and cover up. Should have been aware of snakes as many years ago a shopping mall used some of my chip in a wildlife exhibition along with plenty of grass snake eggs which hatched and caused pandemonium:biggrin:

    would you

had something similar once. Guy phones and tells me a tree is on fire and it's leaning over his house. So on a sunday afternoon we get there to find he'd tried to smoke some bees out of a cavity and the whole of the trunk is glowing well! We had to climb and dismantle carefully but he did pay up:thumbup1:
  19. I'd be well pleased at 200 in a day:001_smile:
  20. Not done any budding since nursery practice at college. Are Tina knives still the ones to use?
  21. Graham

    On ash.

Of course I did but varius took less typing:001_smile:
  22. Graham

    On ash.

Thanks to both of you. Checked against other images and P. varius looks good.
