  1. I think they just need to be courteous to others. Followed a tractor the other day on a busy A road. In five miles I don't think he looked behind him once and didn't pull over to let some of the enormous tailback through.
  2. Found this amusing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4RTm9g_lNo
  3. The road to immortallity. Vaden's Weeping spruce... P. sitchensis 'Vadenii'. Good luck.
  4. Just took a look at the sold stuff. Who would buy two used left foot chainsaw wellies:001_smile:
  5. Following heavy pruning the tree has responded with dense epicormic/adventitious growth. Not all of this growth can survive the search for sufficient light so something gives. Hence the 'mess' from numerous dead twigs which were shaded out.
  6. Possibly a partly blocked fuel cap.
  7. Metzeler Six Days is a good front tyre while it lasts. Should be renamed six hours as that's about the time it takes to rip the side lugs off:001_smile:
  8. Whatever you do never be tempted to try an AC10 on the front. The most useless washing out tyre ever made! I'm using Tubliss system on the front at the moment. With the reduced weight compared to heavy tube or mousse the front end is transformed. Had a spell on tennis balls but never again.
  9. Dull blades will make the rollers work harder.
  10. I think some Oregon boots use man-made leather substitute if that's any help.
  11. Once you've got it down get some hay rattle seed sown in the autumn to overwinter. As it's semi-parasitic to grass it can reduce vigour by 50% leading to the establishment of a good wildflower meadow.
  12. If it were mine I'd get some hay rattle sown to reduce the grass vigour along with a wildflower mix. Because I'm a bit of a Luddite the mowing would be by scythe. Eight mornings work there if you're fit enough:001_smile:!
  13. I reckon it did about 25 at best. That was a mix of general running about. With towing about 19-20 ish.
  14. I had one for nine years. Never let me down apart from a fractured oil pipe once. If it's any help for valuation I sold it this year...very tidy on 02 plate for £1750. Apart from its appetite for fuel it was the nicest truck I've had.
  15. Horses are nearly as bad as sheep. Looking for another way to die or be ill:001_smile:
  16. Who knows? Lots of berries = a good summer not a bad winter.
  17. Those are Asian hornet stings. Nasty.
  18. I've had that call. It's a real scam and they work on a big percentage after you've paid upfront for insurance against losing the case!
  19. There is a thornless variety but can't remember its name.

    Which pick up

Just done a round trip of 400 miles. Mway and A B roads. Navara D40 = £60 diesel.
  21. Looks like bleeding canker. The same one that affects chestnut.
  22. It's probably Pseudomonas syringae pv. mors-prunorum. A bacterial canker. The holes in the leaves are where necrotic tissue as fallen out. Take a look at the Horticulture Week fact sheet Pest & Disease Factsheet - Cankers | Horticulture Week
