  1. Right guys and girls, need your help My landrover developed a knocking noise earlier today and is leaking oil badly from somewere. (to dark to see where, will look tomorrow) Drove about 15miles down the motorway, everything was fine. As i came down the slip road my oil light came on, thought this was odd as id checked the oil level about 7 days before, so thought something must be wrong. Proceded to my mates house which was about 1min away and as i pulled up the knocking noise became apparent and you could see oil coming out under the engine. The engine still starts fine, its just the noise and the oil, the oil light goes out if you give it some revs, and the knocking noise also gets louder when given revs. He towed me home to be on the safe side, didnt want to cause anymore damage, any thought on what could be wrong? My thoughts are: Oil pump? Something gone bang inside the engine? (but it still starts and why would oil be leaking out?) Thats all i can think of now, will investigate further tomorow but be nice if any of you people have any thoughts on it? P.S anyone got a 200tdi engine knocking about, just incase? lol Cheers, Tom

  22. You will have trouble with insurance on vans and pick ups joe, although one of these small trucks would be cheaper... Most comapnys wanted £2500 for my landrover, and when it came to getting insurance on a pick up most companys wouldnt even give me the time of day.
  23. Buy one and put a hyabusa turbo engine in it with chain drive to the rear axle, then YOU will be laughing
