  1. Bit of a sweeping statment mate, my second job is driving all over england and wales delevering. I consider myself to be a safe driver, but as i spend alot of time on the roads i do see alot of numpties about. I just have a chuckle to myself, helps to keep me sain on the long trips lol
  2. Haynes manual is a must have book wouldnt have been without mine. There will be grease nipples on the props, grease like you would grease chipper bearings etc...
  3. Hi guys, were looking for a new chipper. Got some good deals on these 2 machines but not sure what one to go for. Any opinions from those in the know? or owners of these machines. Greenmech appeals as it comes with a choice of petrol or diesel, we would have the diesel, plus it has the over sized feed rollers. Where as the timberwolf has 5inchx5inch feed rollers, and only comes in petrol. Im not worried about the price, its just the pros and cons of each machine. Not to keen on the round blades on the greenmech either, or are they not that bad? GreenMech Arborist 13-23 Road Tow Wood Chipper at under 750kg Green Plant UK Limited - Timberwolf Road Tow 125 PH Chipper Cheers all, Tom
  4. Yep, i hardly ever use one, just on fruit tree pruning maybe.. but then i often go for the loppers. I was speaking to a NPTC assesor, who was assesing some guys who work for a large company down here. That company had banned all employess from using handsaws/silkys
  5. Im no mechanic, but always have a go at fault finding when something goes wrong. I just remember k.i.s.s (keep it simple stupid) Start with the most basic of things, like really basic... Really hope thats your problem sorted mate

    Hahaha

I once bought a bday card for a mate with similar wording. Good find tom
  7. ive had a broken hook on my hiax for about a year now. Just do my laces up the best i can, it dosnt cause a problem.
  8. I was out picking a mate up from a night out at 2am over the weekend, i was in my vito and got pulled as a white van being around at that time of night rasied suspision. They checked me out and let me on my way. Guess its good to see them doing something for a change.
  9. Haha the mog is awaiting collection. Its not my place to say who bought it, but its been sold We will probably never know exactly what went on with the stag.
  10. Sounds about right to me Shame you missed out on the mog mate, seemed to sell very quicky
  11. Hears the article in our local paper. The Exmoor Emperor is dead (From Somerset County Gazette) The say he was shot by a licensed person, yet the the stag was found dead at the side of a road. Id imagine if being shot by a licensed person then they would at least dispose of the animal properly. Im all for hunting, and maybe there was a genuine reason behind it all that the media havnt covered, who knows. Was a mighty fine animal though.
  12. Trousers are only designed to stop a chain with your finger taken off the throttle, this is only on smaller saws. An 088 will cut straight through trousers with out a struggle. I would say what you have experienced is the norm, and you have been mistaken about the amount of protection trousers offer
  13. I hope we have no snow, and it isnt very cold. As for me its just a major inconvinence! I wont have my landy this year, to play in, i mean help others. Snow means time off work which is no money, then my dad has a plant nursery and cold snowy nights just leads to lack of sleep and worry weather the plants will survive the night!
  14. does the route consist of busy main roads? If not id not worry about a legit vechile, just something that runs and does the job will do
  15. Normally use the green stihl 2stroke oil (changed from using red stihl oil and noticed a deffienant improvmant in saw performance) Then just cheap chain oil from the local farm supplies.
  16. Me neither. Well its in the garage being fixed atm. But i know off the top of my head it isnt the case for me
  17. Mad isnt it mate. We've just discovered we had 2000gallons of red diesel stolen out of our winter heating tanks. They were filled up at the end of last winter and well we kinda forget about them over the summer, and dont look at them again until the cold weather starts. Went to check all the heaters and everything this week to find it had all gone! Theiving scum.
