  1. Have you any idea how much a jd gator costs? You can get a very nice 4x4 pickup for same money! Thats maybe why not taken off in wales!
  2. Have seen cows jump good and bad hedges, have learnt one thing in our suckler herd if a cow wants to be at the other side it will do whatever it can despite the obstacles wether its stock fence, post an rail or hedges even gates and there is no stopping it! Cows are very curious creatures so even if plenty of grass will still jump, its always the odd one its never the whole herd! We use barb to protect the fence like huck says they like to lean over the fence for a different taste such as brambles, elderberry even hedges. By using barb the fence lasts longer.
  3. Have just ordered mine after having a successful trial of one. Very impressed with it and looking forward to it being part of the team!
  4. Have you ever riden or driven one?
  5. Nope only battery but would be bonus if could use mains!
  6. I have one on loan and trial, so far am very impressed with it and will be getting one shortly. It has saved two chains from been scrapped and cutting like a good un now. Yes it takes a bit longer to sharpen than by hand but the quality and consistency am finding chain stays sharper for longer so not sharpening as frequently.
  7. Would stay clear myself, have a 03 on the estate here and it does the job but does have regular visits to the garage. Electrical problems galore, parts hard come by and its most endearing quality is its ride NOT! The one you are looking at will admit is very tidy but I would look elsewhere sorry thats not what you probably want to hear.
  8. A ranger would be my first then a d-max. A friend has a ranger and really rates it highly, had a ride in it too looks well made and good cabin finish, only downside was a leak near the middle storage compartment believe the water run off pipe was blocked.
  9. Not everyone has your setup skyhuck!
  10. The main argument for me is not wether the hounds get the fox or the fox is shot, its quite simple once the fox has made it home thats it END of, it won that round. To go round the day before stuffing wire in drain pot ends, filling in badger sets basically anything to stop giving the fox a chance! Thats what gets me mad. If the hunt was to operate fair an square then I wouldnt have a problem with them. They are just a sad pathetic bunch of people desperate to make their own entertainment rather than doing it in a fair equal way!!
  11. Me on the other hand have left santander after many trouble free years as it was abbey but now santander am fed up of the incompetence of them, have put up with too many mistakes and had enough so shut my account, wasnt a business account though.
  12. Evening, I have no real way of knowing wot speed my mog runs at but hsve used the method goaty has mentioned. You soon get a feel for the right speed as if speed to slow I find the chain snatches at slow speed plus the splitter travels slow. Just my input.
  13. What a prize muppet you are!!! At least you didnt loose your finger like me!!! But at least have a little party trick to show for it
  14. We have a tata on the estate, its been a good pickup BUT we do have trouble getting parts at mot time apart from that you get what you pay for.
  15. Wont be getting a demo then tonight. Part timer!
  16. If local farmers can plough through the night then why can't they spray at night too? Bees don't fly at night and it would give them a safer chance of foraging in a spray free environment. Banning the neonicotinoids may not be as good as we think as it means the farmers will revert back to other more harmful pesticides. Farmers can spray at night but chances are it will be a residual ie soil contact. Majority of the sprays need to go onto a dry surface well, if have a dew on a night it wont help matters it could possibly be a waste! We farmers dont just like spraying cause it means sitting on our backsides we do it to protect the investment that has been put into the crop! Regarding the ban defra doent fully support the ban because it was done in a extreme way, the idiots who did the testing and experiments etc did it with the chemical in question at 26 times the level we are currently using!!! Hardly a fair experiment and comparision is it!!! Now mother nature will likely suffer because we have to use a chemical like dursban which in the example of rape wont kill just the flea beetle which is what the seed dressing controls but all the other insects and living things in the seedbed.
  17. Is it???? Don't think people realise that foliar insecticides are worse than the neonicotinoids!!!
  18. We have a grizzly 450, its a good bike but can also be thirsty. Quite a good maneuverable bike, probably too much power for me
  19. If that fails geoff whsmiths do different packs cant remember how much but was reasonable still and easy to do as mostly pre written just fill in the gaps and add extra.
  20. I havnt really got any further with my garden due to weather but also had an accident. The potatoes are chitting ready and got some veg sown in trays but nowt done in the ground. Hopefully soon though. Nice fork and spade tony look very smart!
  21. Isuzu for me. We have a 10plate on farm and I personally really like it, had l200 before that and rubbish it was! Needed 10acre to turn round. Also seen good mpg on isuzu!
