  1. They might be with it one day but the next day might have gone too far an had too much, not only a risk to themselves but also endanger others working around them. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  2. If I knew a work colleague was doing drugs or drink I would refuse to work with them. When working expensive and complex machinery(agriculture) you need to be on the ball otherwise the consequences doesn't bear thinking about. The op did the right thing!! I would have done same if in that position. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  3. Wen marking them in future rob why not dip the end of files in different colours of paint? Can't help with the grinding though. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  4. Am intrigued, why salt? Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  5. If have a processor then I do think its the way forward, have no experience of them but imagine they would boost the production line greatly! The seeds have been sown to make 1 myself but ain't confident enough but also need to finish some other projects 1st really. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  6. I would like to have taken part in this but unfortunately haven't had the time due to harvest an sowing. Next time rob!!
  7. Well guessing its arbtalk forum it's jobs would be related. Back to the thread, parts should be fairly easy to get if you plan to restore it at some point. Ain't too clued up on the hydra shift box but myself would go for a simple gearbox as cheaper to repair if needed to also simple. Am sure someone will correct me if wrong but sure it could be similar offering to what case did at one time and it was a problematic gearbox.
  8. Erm maybe something that tractors generally do perhaps.
  9. You might have to change the connectors but the positives of a optima outweigh the negatives. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  10. Whilst I agree that Bosch batteries are good, if I was in your position I would be getting a optima battery they really are brilliant. Yes might be a few pounds more but def worth it. Better cranking power and know of one that is 14 years old an still performing well. I bought one for my unimog last year for 150quid. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  11. Rover90 it is me that has had a 21hp compact on the Palax and it was fine on the day no problems. Obviously if was wanting output then more HP is better but the times have had the the compact on it its been fine! Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  12. Could always try roundup, magical fuel additive that stuff!!
  13. Ahhh that's brought some memory's back goat, one correction though it was a 10/60. A beast it was and wish still had it even though a troublesome beast it was. The fuel system was practically rebuilt! The look on people's faces was brilliant and also how it would not comply with today's emission regs, boy did she smoke when tramping on! Believe the wood in the tank was for dipping to see how much in but obviously the muppet dropped it in at some point.
  14. Who is to say he is the dad after all them years of nut crunching?

    Case 956

I would go with the 956, had my first harvest carting on one of these and loved it! Plenty of grunt and a good lock. Overall a good simple tractor.
  16. Was reading a long range forecast and it said that October was looking to have a very cold spell! Usually his daily forecasts are pretty accurate. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  17. Yay man don't underestimate the zetor! Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  18. Am no expert but for both reasons I think. If know of a good zetor dealer then worth a try. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  19. Think you will be very lucky to get some front wheel weights! Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  20. Whatever u do put anti-freeze in it if u go down that route. Myself I would make a frame/bracket that would let u have weights on but also a box on front of weights, if make box rectangular then won't protude to far in front. Am not keen on water ballasting as I find it takes some of the tire cushioning away so would get a solid ride. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
  21. Krave for me, the bowl is never big enough!!

    Tractors

Nowt wrong with our jcb its a 10plate and done 1400hrs its performed well up to now! Our local jd dealer sell ag spec cats. Fendts are nice machines but do think overated, and not as reliable as you might be led to believe.
  23. Thanks for that chaps!!
  24. Ha lost count of how many times did that, even on the move as well. Will have to explore in morning.
  25. No don't think can hear a hiss. Have plenty of air pressure though. Is it the box on the top of gearbox?
