  3. Its the Dolmar 6100. The hammer is a engineers hammer that i got from a car booty for 50p, and i put a longer handle on it from ebay. The shoulder straps make a big difference, you don't notice the extra weight.
  4. The curse of all foresters, butt rot
  5. Sorry not seen Bird box, hence my bewilderment.
  6. I am making a conscious effort to keep my thumb under the handle at all times, as i am sick of my EV telling me off .
  7. Yes and it went sideways on the first tree. But to be fair i was trying to get it to swing. I was more concerned about the flying branches as the tree comes down. Tall thin wippy ash can ping a broken branch a long way.
  8. Thats an image Andrew, you standing next to the chipper with your old fella out measuring wood to decide what to put through the chipper.
  9. Something went wrong with the previous link, this one should work.
  10. This thread hasn't seen the light of day for eighteen months, so i thought i would revive it with the last of my work before Christmas.
  11. I am enjoying my 6100 felling alder and as. I like the slightly different back hande angle.
  12. Make you own up, it will probably work out cheaper , and it will suit your needs better. Half of the stuff on the oregon belt probably won't get used. The belt bags from AUS are very long lasting, good for wedges. http://www.aus.co.uk/acatalog/Harness_Bolt_Bags_And_Tool_Frogs.html
  13. Totterdell, lives at Rockyside.
  14. Brambles brambles brambles , and some of the most god awful willow
  15. Here you go Andrew@shavey, quick review of the Dolmar 6100.
  16. I see your based in Landkey, do you know Ben from Greenman cider?
  17. I am only removing/ thinning Ash that's crown is is showing >50% die back. Out there are resistant Ash, and I don't want to loose them.
  18. First couple of days extracting unpopular poplar. It now less unpopular due to the demand for biomass. Might even make a profit.
  19. Does it come with tyre levers and extra grease to get you into the cab?
