  1. Not sure of this one growing out of an Oak stump, first thought was a Mazegill, but the gills are too straight. Any ideas?
  2. Its one of the many ground beetle larvae, which makes it a predator so don't squash it .
  3. Good use of the log bullet, mine is surprising me still on how much it will move on short runs.
  4. Box strainer
  5. Felling aid are just that, aids. Best to have a plan B
  6. It the 20 ton wedge, and i got it from Chris forestry. https://www.chrisforestry.co.uk/store/Koller-Mechanical-Felling-Wedge-p136166425 The Dolmar is the 6100, fantastic saw.
  7. beware the saleman, they are not in the undergrowth knocking over big hairy trees
  8. On that size i would go Treemans jack or a big winch
  9. Here mine in action. Every time I take an impact drill to speed things up, its pouring with rain. It also adds massively to the amount of weight you have to carry. The Koller wedge fits in my wedge pouch, but the impact drill doesn't and you also need additional batteries. I would rather rather travel lite, and take a little longer to drop the trees.
  10. Horse Chestnut
  11. Only trees moving here. https://youtu.be/SM11WUEzAeo
  12. Cheers mike
  13. Fair play to the Log bullet, i am forwarding the trees whole, and most are around10m in length.

  18. There nearest mill to you is in Martletwy, but you will have to get the logs to him. P.M your number and i will let you have it.
  19. As far as i am aware there isn't any one with a mobile mill in Pemb's. However I know of 3 different static mills at various locations. Where abouts are your logs?
  20. You are welcome to come over, i am only 10 minutes from Pembroke Dock ferry terminal
  21. Definitively the APF
  22. Are you Ross? I sent you a message on Facebook. Give us a tinkle, as it is much easier to talk. When i set out my business plan the £25,000 saving you get from buying the log bullet makes it a viable business. As big j says it is a lightweight machine that won't stand heavy abuse, but it is productive. Pekka in Finland is very helpful, and as he builds them he provides very good back up.
  23. @gdh logs heading your way
  24. You know you luves em
  25. 1st length saw log, the rest goes through the chipper whole. Unless the trees are going through some form of harvester you will haemorrhage money trying to cut stakes and strainers
