  7. i,ve just been acepted to be able to do council work, it's took me a year to sort out. The councill seem to be very clicky round here, iv'e sent letters made phone calls, got together a portfolio, he then came out to watch us take down a 70ft dead Atlas Cedar, TPO had been removed, and had to use a large Cherry picker to dissmantle it. Nothing could be dropped. All went smoothly, thank good. Just wating for the phone to ring:confused1:

    66 all the way boy's and girls never had any probs with mine, so never needed to change to a husky. All my saws are stihl great bits of kit.

  14. Hi guy's and girls My back can't take the splitting maul any more, hence i'm looking for a petrol/diesel Log Splitter. Need to be fairly good and easy to move,or tow. Oh ye and cheepish. Please can you give me some advice and or some links. Are the eletric ones rubbish? i have never hear anyone rant or rave about them.

  21. Yep i'm the same at least £10 ph at least, that's usally £80 per day. I still pay that even if we finish early, as they have worked their balls off to finish.

    You don't wana quote too high as you'll scare them off, getting the contract is better than not. A least you and your crew will be working in these hard times. £500- £600 sounds fair. don't forgett that in that line of work they just want you to get the work done, and dont seem to be too bothered on quallity.:bored:
