So work's going well for you, good to hear. I'm fairly quiet at the mo, and companys are going under all over, good job i'm only a small business or i'd be in the poo.

However just been acepted by the councill to be able to do work for them, and put in for a few bigish contracts, which i hope come off.

    fallen pop

I removed a Pop not to long ago, cut it into sections as you have, and i'll tell you each section weighed a fuc*ing ton, mind you they do hold quite a lot moisture. couldn't even sell the logs, i may have tried selling sponges:scared1:
  19. HI mate again i'm sorry iv'e misplaced your contact details, can you post me them again or phone me on 07875354167 nice one mate

  20. I have more or less run out of wood to sell now. I have a large Oak plantation that the owner has given me permission to remove about 6 dead trees, good size aswell, but it will still need drying out over the summer, oh ye and i felled 3 Ash trees on Monday and the client didn't want any of it, so i took the lot off his hands. which was nice:sneaky2:
  21. Sh*t thats a lot of wood, i didn't think you would need that much. I dont know any one who runs their whole house off wood. Does it work out a hell of a lot cheaper than gas.
  22. Same same Badger, i was talking to some lads from Western Power the other day and they said that it was around the £1500 mark and has been known to rise to the £3000 mark. Blody stupid if you ask me:thumbdown:
  23. Hi mate, the buzz vine is going strong, Ye i was a PTI and came out after 14 years. I did my training at Kingswood in kent, Very good course over 4 weeks, and you gain C/S 30, 31,38, 39. which are a must if you want to start out as a tree surgeon. I then went back and did my C/S 40.

I started my own business straight off, and now employ a couple of lads part time. The money is good, but you graft like 10 men for it, not like in the corps.

The credit crunch has affected me a bit, and i would say that it is a difficult time to be coming out side and jobs are few and far between.

However on the whole i think iv'e done really well, and just landed a few big contracts, for the new year.

If you have any more questions give me a phone 07875354167, or check out the web site WWW. northdevontreeservice.co.uk

    Good luck

  24. I'm ex Forces my self and the standard issue bag is very warm indeed however its very heavy and dosn't pack down very small. I would go to an out door specalist i.e http://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com All i can say is buy cheep buy twice, and its easier to cool down than walm up
  25. Not starting back untill the 5th Jan. Hitting it hard with two days of felling some Ash, and the client hasn't any room to keep the logs, oh well i will just have to take them off your hands.
