  3. Very difficult time to be thinking about setting up your own business, been hit hard by the credit crunch here in N devon. Hope things pick up soon. I do however understand people wanting to be there own boss, it's no walk in the park, I spent about £15,000 truck, chipper, saws and bits and bobs. hope this helps.   9. Same same i recon 15-20 ton per day per man thats a lot of tons of wood with a 3-4 man crew, that would double his proffit. And yes graft bloody hard i didn't know there was any other way:confused1:

How about 2 guy's over a month to see how much they can get done on a trail basis, then work out your figures, Steve £100 PD for 1 hour travel each way providing your own saw's, fuel for truck and saw's PPE and using own vehical to travel, with guys that you know graft safely like 10 men, i dont think is too much.
