  1. I apologise for the slight hi jack of this thread . I have a Kohler Triad 18 hp in various bits free to anyone who will collect . Was working well before removal ? Located in Cheshire nr the M6 Sandbach services .
  2. Wind in ya favour is always good . Top tune with a top vid . Thanks
  3. Excellent although I wouldnt be spiking up birch trees when the sap is rising Although I did hear a good wine can be had from the sap
  4. We did a spiking test on an Ash and a H / C Nut both healthy trees . Years later they are both in excellent fettle / condition and 99 % of the gaff wounds have healed up a treat . Bloody myth I tell thee . Spiking in my opinion does no more damage than a simple branch removal . The tree itself is a living thing and therefore is used to change and copes well with it .
  5. A deffo fell if ever i saw one . Although be sure to replant as soon as possible to help stop any soil erosion of the banking .
  6. We have a crew cab L200 for log delivery's Its got adapted high sides for the odd day we have to chip into it . Nice back up truck .
  7. Nice work . Although I.d prefer to weld a metal bar to a working axe head any day .
  8. Ooh you posh buggar Nice one .
  9. Like to withdraw my previous offer as its now sold . Arbtalk rocks ..........

  13. Really loved that vid . I kinda guessed he would walk across the top of the tower . Why o why would you do it twice though thats just like asking for a full refund at which some point there,s going to be a problem ? Glad that fella got down with his balls intact . Because as we all know Balls can get you into lots of trouble . Good post
  14. Sorry fella I may be missing the point here ? Why not fit the winch to the chipper so she can pull herself up the ramps and when at work she can pull over trees Unless you want to winch other gear up onto the trailer ?
  15. 5 / 6 t of Tulip Pop near Sandbach , Cheshire , right next to the M6 . Its coming down in early Jan 2015 . If your interested PM me .
  16. Nice one thats a fair amount of stumps

  18. Keep it jon . Then you can carve the christmas turkey with it Always good to have a spare sharp hand saw around .
  19. That is one ace saw although it is a tad long when pulling out from the scabbard . Cuts at an amazing pace . Too rough for a pruning saw . So for Pruning I love my zubat and gomtaro both of which leave a smooth finish .
  20. Wise words . I,m sure most of us on here have been caught out like this at one point in our working lives . 75 mile round trip n all
  21. Oh and I must not forget the fact that my log delivery truck needs all new brake lines fitted to pass its MOT. I need to laugh or I will proper cry Such is life and no the grass is not always greener on the other side .
  22. 3 / 4 weeks ago the trailer jockey wheel broke on my 10ft trailer . Then the next day my ladys engine seized on her car . Then the chipper starter motor broke . What really got my goat was that the easy strimming job booked in for a Local Estate Agent also went tits up as 2 of my strimmers refused to start Self employed ....................... Pros and cons ..........lol
  23. Couple of my old 110 tipper . Also has tool box on the r rack .
  24. Spot on
  25. 10 flyers through his door love it
