Fulltime climber / groundie I have recently been put back on the paleo diet by my lady . Hardboiled eggs for brekkie x2 and a black coffee . Lunch tin of tuna and a small salad and another hard boiled egg . Teatime chicken breast or a steak may be even a pork steak always served with broccoli and other veg and thats it apart from lots of water and diluted juice . Fats coming off quite fast maybe to fast

The flywheel sensor on mine was at fault . Which caused similar problems to yours . The problem was that the sensor box had some water in it . After draining and drying then spraying with a quality wd40 all was good . I wonder if they powerwashed your machine after the service ?

If its for your own use I would cut it up with a set of decent loppers and use as kindling . Should dry out easily but keep it off the floor

Good chippers matey solid bits of kits . Not sure about hse implications ? Although Im sure if your an owner operator and your the only one chipping then the safety bar etc is not required to meet the up to date standards . Just what my insurance told me 2 years ago . I have this in writing

Aye when they bite they bite . Chainsaw sleeves would of prevented this ? Then again how many people wear chainsaw sleeves ? I own a pair but never wear them . In an ideal world yes it would great . Although decent staff are hard to come by . Faster is not always better . You may find yourself working all your machines flat out and past there service dates and creating more problems and stress . Just my opinion

The problem is there are now to many tree surgeons about? So back in your younger days there would have been fewer treemen . I am booked up until the end of November and some dates also taken in December . Having said that I have been trading for over twenty years . I still do a lot of Conny Bashing so not always big dismantles and the like . When I first started it was week to week . Some firms I know are booked out till january ? Obviously a certain percentage is commercial . Yes it is true you can be that busy that you end up losing work ? If that happens then you are doing something right . Basically the people who won't wait well just forget them and concentrate on the jobs / clients you have got as they will always recommend you . The jobs you lose through being to busy well thats just self explanatory You know your stuff and charge a fair rate and do a good job .

Fair play I can see your point . He did earn me money and also did very well out of the arrangement himself . I took him from school when he just turned 16 . A month or so later we all sat down me , trainee and his family . I proposed a deal where the trainee would get full training at college . Supply him with all new ppe and climbing kit and his own saw . If he would stay and become in time my main worker climber , groundie maintenance helper , log delivery man etc etc . He had use of a paid vehicle from the day we got him through his test . We even had incentives such as pay increases through out his whole 6 years . What upset me was the fact that he had been thinking of becoming a chef for a while . He just never told me and then one day turns up and basically said I,m off going to be a chef now . No notice was given he didnt even give me a chance to find a replacement . Yes he did six good years for me . Just really annoyed me that he didnt even work any notice or help ease another worker in . He was just under 22yrs old when he left me and became a chef for 6 months

My local Matalan had a half price sale rack in store . I bought some black jeans for work at £20 and when we got to the checkout the assistant said £11 please . I explained that half of £ 20 was £10 simple maths really ? She replied but it says £11 ? the till that is . Ended up getting them for a tenner in the end . Seems like all retail outlets are trying to con us is some way or other ? Before anyone says owt I will be wearing my chaps over the jeans .

I spent a small fortune on kitting out and training my young jedi tree climber . Then 6 years later he decided that he really wanted to be a chef ? I lost a lot of money and wasted a lot of time the later of which really gets to me even now . I should of had him sign a contract ? If I ever did this again I would get the trainee to sign a contract , so if they left after two years they would pay a % back on all training cost etc .
