  1. Well said both Toms. Terrible tragedy.
  2. Flail on a Bobcat or similar. Garth MC Garth would know.
  3. Nice lunge Tone. Is that a crab holding your fly together?
  4. Keep it coming mate, with pics if possible.
  5. Mine was bulletproof for 3 years and is now an un-tunable tossbag. I have never used the Ultra 2-stroke oil, and have come to the conclusion, like Matt, that the 130 is a flawed unit. I would go for the 56 (?) powerhead next time, which is a couple of cc less, but not a farty 4-mix. It's also half the price. I like the fact that the combi system splits down in length so well, and the 1m extension pole is gold in some situations.
  6. Very tidy. My first truck was a petrol LT. It would only do 150 miles on a tankful, so I'm glad you got LPG!
  7. Why would you fanny about doing a split if there was no need John?
  8. Ha ha. Can't argue with that mate!
  9. I rate my iPhone, but what is it with the bluetooth? It just doesn't work on them does it?
  10. Would have been just the job mate. Felled the stick this morning, took the Tranny on the lawn, took out two loads of cord to a mate locally and managed to rip the butt in two and load it, along with a very nice straight stem. Took some doing, but it will make some lovely benches and bits. Proper tidy up, 3 bags of rakings and off site by 12. Bingo. Started lashing down with rain at 12.05, which made it even sweeter.
  11. They said they'd been quoted £1250 Nick. Might be genuine, or it could be a bullshitting tactic that has succeeded in you dropping your price £200 (which comes straight out of your PROFIT. I stopped playing that game when my local BP garage refused to drop the price of their DERV by 20p/litre because I said I'd seen it cheaper elsewhere.... Result on the £280, mind.
  12. Polishing my skills for dance floor axe throwing....
  13. 50m Tone? I'll have a pint of what you're on!
  14. Needed Kevs wagon on the lawn! 12m3 of chip might have violated wee Gloria! TBH mate, I should have just offered to make good any damage on the lawn (there wouldn't have been any). The posh bloke said the chipper was ok, but not the Tranny, and didn't we have some kind of hose we could run between the two? That's it, I'm off up the shed to invent one.
  15. Day 1 of of Cedar takedown. 75 years old, slightly misshapen due to proximity to Birch. The tree had lost a few limbs due to snow damage in the winter, but was in good health. It was spoiling the view. 2 big loads of chip, stick ready to fell tomorrow. 50m drag which was annoying as I had assumed we could take the truck onto the concrete-like lawn. Put me a few hours under budget with my price, but hey-ho. Stunt fell was a non-starter due to other trees/shrubs.
  16. What are they like for, you know, touching yourself with?
  17. I think it's a bad move Steve. These two shrinking violets will be even more scared to say what they really mean from now on.... Nice one fellas.
  18. Lads, refer to the cat rescue thread in General. 'Tree surgeon to the rescue'. Someone must be able to reap the good publicity? Carl?
  19. Fingers crossed for you, Faye and little Taylor Nick. The little man sounds and looks like a fighter. Best of luck mate.
  20. Sorry mate. Tried, but my wrist had given out after looking at the pic too much.
  21. Well done mate. It does look a bit bulky, but it's a great effort for something we would all love to own.
  22. Would you include Range Rover in that Nick? I'm a long way off finding out myself, but the game bird breeders near me are replacing their Hiluxes with LPG RR's to tow their trailers. They reckon they can pick up 06's for silly money.
