  1. Sounds very, very handy that Al. Chalara-tastic.
  2. Looks tidy Al. What height and outreach has it got?
  3. ‘And what a marvellous sight that is....’
  4. Can’t beat crrricket on the radio.
  5. Good point Swinny. I reckon chalara will boost sales of tracked MEWPS in the next few years.
  6. Aye, probably a bit early to hit the panic button but I’d be looking to get it down before the back end of this year.
  7. You see what I mean? I would have done it cheaper than Mick if you'd said earlier.
  8. I'm not guesstimating a price, but that isn't coming back, and the quicker you get rid of it the cheaper it will be.
  9. Love the roof box Rupe!
  10. That is totally irrelevant and you know it. The tree will be the cheapest solution, so IT MUST DIE!
  11. The tree is clearly to blame Kevin. There is no point in a site visit.
  12. Aye Bob, not a good thing when you don’t know your acer from your elba!
  13. Spot on Paul. I used to think coppicing was exempt, but stems over 6” you need to think about it. Admittedly you should be ok with hazel, but we’ve been into stands of overstood sweet chestnut where the big buggers were around 2’.
  14. It’s a fair point Steve, but you should brush up on your reading. It actually says ‘there Latin’ rather than ‘their Latin’. Do you need bifocals? ?
  15. That’s the one Martin. Although you’re wasting your time with connies. Just call them all pine trees like the customers!
  16. I remember at the start of my career asking a fully qualified mate what the difference was between common and latin tree names? 'About £50 a day', he said.
  17. I bought a pack of tree playing cards from a National Trust place as sort of a joke years ago, but they helped a lot with the most common trees. Always have a decent tree book in the truck as well.
  18. Great thread Mick. My favourite over a few careers, and applicable to all is - “If it’s got a clutch or a fanny, it’s bother.”
  19. These are good under the thickest type-C’s you can find.
