  3. Never heard that before, if they refuse your app than as i take it you cannot fell it, thats why you put an app in the first place cos its protected in a con area. If you put an app in and they dont reply in 6 weeks you can go ahead.

Totally agree mate, if your dismanteling and you have a cock up they will ask for your cs41! i have cs 40 (pruning) aswell, this has come in usefull for some comercial work, it also means if you do cock it up you have less excuses....... You can go on with tickets for ever, you just have to be comfortable with what your doing i guess and keep risks to a min.
  11. Customer wants it down......price her up and fell it then.

No it was LANTRA, same standing and done on the same day as its assesment over the whole day, in someways better than NPTC as you have to be up to it over a longer space of time.
  17. Top deal that Tim, v well done.
  18. Plenty of flow rate its 70hp is the old girl, you dont need a big tractor to run a hydraulic splitter. a mf 135 has plenty of flow to run one.
  19. Do something else then, NO way would i provide all that kit and do a days work for 70 quid a day. as a self employed person i would want 80 quid a day just to turn up and work and not provide any tools. My groundie gets payed 60 quid a day and provides nowt but himself!
  20. Nice tractor tim, i think it might have the hp to run a spiltter:laugh1: i have an old and battered layland 384 with a loader to load logs, gonna put a splitter on the back to ease the use of my petrol one and its cheaper to run on cherry than petrol. If you dont mind me asking, what sort of money did you get it for?
  21. ........When someone else sharpens a saw and for a laff puts the chain on backwards and it takes you a few seconds to work out whit it wont cut! my lad this to me!
  22. Same here, a 66 with a 25" bar if a top tool

Yeah i done a grinder ticket, yes it is worth it mine was about £100 quid, doesnt matter wether your only doing domestic or not, if you dont have a ticket to say your competant in its use and you have an accident or someone gets hurt you might be in a bit of bother! In this day and age its all about covering ones arse and for the sake of a 100 quid i think thats good value. Plus you will Always learns something to help you work better.
  24. Machanic.........cars WILL always need fixing and in tough times like these the car will take priority over trees/hedges and just about owt else. My mate ownes a back street garage with 5 guys working for him, he is rammed out of the door every day and has been for 8 years sinse he bought the place, keeps saying to me "whens this recession thing starting then"
