  1. OK so lets get back to basics You seem concerned with speed so lets look at the existing system and work to its optimal, without having to add oil coolers and the like You can make a system quick but maxing it out is going to leave you dealing with heat issues So what size is the ram? Look at the rams fittings, pipe bore, valve block bore among other things. These are the factors that will limit the volume of oil that the system can handle. Too much is worse than not enough So, in detail, what ya got??
  2. It wont tick the boxes because you said you want a bigger pump I leave you with the wise words of John Ruskin “It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do"
  3. How much can you buy an old tractor for and, if you get one cheap enough, what will you have for your money?? Probably a wreck with a 30 year old pump that wasn't up to the job you want it to do in the first place. Get a PTO pump, make your own reservoir from an HGV fuel tank, a bit of plumbing and fabrication and away you go.
  4. There is a guy that does the local craft fairs that makes them just likr that. A decent sized one will run you to about 20 quid per hole, which seems ok money for what can't be more than an hours work Only problem I can see is making sure it doesn't get knocked over, a job for wall fixing if ever I saw one😉
  5. Click the link What Is My IP Address? IP Address Tools and More
  6. Yes lets do that, inconvenience the entire neighbourhood for the actions of one person. That is sure to win friends and allies among your neighbours. I bet they will all be more than happy to stand up when you are looking for a witness next time it happens. Oh no, wait...........
  7. Agreed but as I understand this case the works have gone far beyond that required to abate
  8. Wash them out with a paraffin bath,WD40 spray or similar

  12. That's a direction to avoid if you can, it will take you into some pretty orroble traffic
  13. One near where I used to live called the Broad Oak
  14. Depending how you do it, you could run into trouble with MOT, insurance, and such
  15. That's always an option but you could also consider going with non determination and take it out of the LA's hands. A couple of those followed by a complaint to the ombudsman should see a shake up and get the system back on an even keel
  16. Is the site you vivited an official one?? Go with the recommended power output, there is little as disappointing as a saw that under performs See Ruskin for more “It is unwise to pay too much, but it’s worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money . . . that’s all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing that is was bought to do".
  17. And the penalty for fly tipping in such an instance is a mildly slapped wrist
  18. Taking legal action against someone for a criminal act wont make it a dispute. Where do you think such things would be recorded?
  19. For all you "not worth it, brigade", how many times would be needed to make it worth it??? Allowing this to continue emboldens the perpetrator, where does this end?? Get an injunction then any further offence becomes contempt of court, the powers that be take a dim view of anyone flouting their authority and will chastise accordingly.
  20. Surely the woodland is better off without all and sundry tramping all over the biodiversity
  21. Its easier than you might think Use a drift or a bolt to keep the damper in place while you swap them over:thumbup:
  22. That's not a NATO hitch
  23. I am all for pushing the envelope but you have to know what rules you can stretch
  24. Home made scaffold, seriously?? Even a modified one is dodgy ground
  25. Or perhaps they are subbies Beware your assumptions
