  1. But it would seem, not worth a link?

  4. I know Ian and he would be my first choice and reccomend
  5. Just be sure they use the right laser
  6. Take a pair of shades with you, they will surely dilate your eyes and it can be a bit uncomfortable when you go out into the light
  7. Of course this could read another way, some would say, dear diary, had a great time at the rugby but nearly effed it up with the valentines flowers, managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat by grabbing the last bunch at the supermarket
  8. You need to know what it is you are looking at. That's a blind rivet, it works by pulling a steel mandrel through the softer aluminium tube body to expand it. At a pre determined tension the mandrel shears at a weak spot with the remnant of the mandrel remaining in the rivet body. The corrosion you can see is from the remnant of the sheared off mandrel and is of no consequence to the rivet. While red oxidation is mostly a cosmetic problem any white oxidation would indicate movement in the joint and would need to be investigated.
  9. Definitely either buy your own or rent
  10. Not of that much use on ferrous work like saw chains where you don't tend to get too much "pinning" but particularly useful on non ferrous that tends to clog the file
  11. Tea is a herbal infusion made with hot water Ill get mi coat:laugh1:
  12. It will balance out somewhat because as Steve points out, your running costs will be lower
  13. I know Simon well and I am sure he is doing it well but Turnover = profit, Discuss
  14. You need to stop thinking, "this is what I have" and start thinking, what do I need, the time for "this is what I have" was before you made such a big splitter. What you are trying to build amounts to a commercial scale processor the pump and motor need to be matched to the machine you have built The motor in your link is listed as suitable for augers and suchlike, its a low speed high torque motor and isn't likely to be overly successful as a drive for a saw, which tend to be a lot quicker. Chain speed is going to be a major factor in cycle time Take what you have to a hydraulics specialist and get their input, it will save you aggravation and money in the long run

  16. Transporting low value bulk goods is not very economical and particularly so on small quantities. This is going to limit the appeal quite significantly
  17. The best feature if multiplat was its ability to hold water then have the prussic milk onto your arm, run down your arm then on down as far as your under crackers
  18. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/96593-second-climber-required-bergen-norway.html
  19. Its not so much the prussic part, its that bouncy horrible three strand that was the bane of my life
  20. The track motor has an internal brake. A leak will stop it working and as Johnny says an internal leak wont show hence the need to test
  21. I would get someone to check them
  22. Is there any leakage from the motor?
  23. Yes, its a problem with the track motors, the brake in the track motor isn't working properly, its supposed to be on when stopped and get released when the track is asked to move
  24. Luxury it was a 21" bowsaw
  25. We should make newbies do a season on "old school" to stop them bitchin about colour co ordinated biners and the like :laugh1:
