  1. 12 months experience with the following tickets CS30/CS31/CS38/CS39/CS40. UA1/UA2.1/UA2.2/UA2.3 Highly committed and professional. Ex forces so can be relied on. I don't have any preference to location, Looking to take the opportunity to see the world and meet some great people. Thanks
  2. Lynher training near launceston, cornwall. It started 2 weeks ago and should be fully completed by May. I'm looking for guys down my way for experience as I have no forestry background at all.
  3. I'm just in the second week of my level 3 diploma and one thing I had no idea about was the cost of everything. All the PPE is very over priced but you have to buy it unless you want a serious injury. spare parts for your saw is a massive must too.. I've just had the pleasure of my piston, crank and pot being totally knackered and its going to cost a bomb to fix. If you can try and fit your training around a job. I made the mistake of leaving my job to take up training as it will take up every week for the next 2+ months and trying to buy and fix bits is working out to be difficult. Good luck though
  4. Currently at collage working towards a full diploma in forestry & arboriculture. I'm a 30 year old ex military hard working, devoted and loyal person to have on side. I'm looking for work experience and hopefully a small wage. Although at this point I have no qualifications I'm happy to graft doing anything else while learning. If anyone is able to help please get in contact. Many Thanks
  5. I'm Phil from North Cornwall and I'm currently in training to complete my level 3 forestry and arboriculture NPTC certificate. I am undertaking this training following a past military career and wanting to excel in a trade that I know I'm going to enjoy. Obviously I'm a newbie so any pointers or offers of work opportunity's in my neck of the woods (excuse the pun) would be gratefully received.

If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
