  1. There is a world of difference between grafting and pushing the envelope too far. Taking the jogging back as an example, if the lad trips and falls his ambulance chaser is going to say that it was because of the jogging, which is out of the ordinary, they are going to use industry best practice to demonstrate that your practice is dangerous and unreasonable, various publications like the AA last cut syndrome will be cited and your insurer will be on the line for a proper rodgering.
  2. I saw Chris De Bergh a few years ago, don't remember a mosh pit though:lol::lol:
  3. Even so no such duty exists, that land owner can tell them to go forth and multiply, most of the ones I know do just that. The red sock brigade can rant all they want.
  4. You sure about that? They aren't allowed to obstruct it but they aren't compelled to keep it clear.
  5. Hows the nose weight?
  6. What he said There are 2 ways of doing kit and plant, you can pay little, buy used and be good with spanners, be prepared to fettle it yourself. Or You can pay more and get (hopefully) the reliability but it will cost you more to buy and finance.
  7. Do you think I put special brew in the saws?
  8. Yes its a cracker, until someone makes a cods of loading it and it runs off down the yard looking for mayhem and chaos
  9. That is the problem

    Tipper back

Try Service Metals Group-Europes leading Aluminium and steel profiles supplier Service metals are the people to speak to about commercial vehicle bodies Consider also "amaribond" its an aluminium composite board that will fix nicely to your wire cages. Its light and cheap. Amari Plastics
  11. Ok so they tweaked it a little, recently but I know that by and large, alkylate is alkylate, and I didn't make holes in anything:laugh1:
  12. A mate of mine runs one, he doesn't gripe about the cost and he is from Yorkshire:laugh1:
  13. You are working for your client the provider just has to pull the fuse, ask them what authority they have to demand what they are asking for
  14. No probs, errrrrrrrr Beaver, you do know there is no such thing as red petrol?
  15. As I said before, it all depends on the ram, it will work whatever but flow equals speed. I have seen quite a few splitters on beaver power packs and none that were struggling.

    mot and tax

Its an offence to have an untaxed vehicle on the road unless its on the way to an MOT test or repairs for the MOT Its also an offence to have a taxed vehicle on the road and not display the disk.
  17. The set up I did for ED works well but don't be so quick to dismiss the power pack option they have plenty of ummmph. Most are petrol but diesel ones are out there. 30l/min isn't shabby your TW is only turning a pair of low speed high torque motors and might not even have 30l about The more important question is what are the splitters requirements?
  18. That's not what you said though is it? What you said was the fuel was going stale in 2 weeks, now you are saying you got given a saw with fuel, god alone knows how old in the tank, hardly the same thing methinks. I am pretty sure pump petrol wont go off in a couple of weeks.
  19. This is exactly what keeps going through my mind. I have no option but to trust the HSE to know what's appropriate and they get it right more often than not. They have a duty to keep us safe yet they remain silent on the issue which for me casts doubt.
  20. If you wind it back a post or two my concern want about aspen, it was about petrol going off in a couple of weeks, or rather the claim of it. The OP responded and that was that but others interceded and took it in this direction.
  21. I don't see it happening anytime soon, they managed it with outboards because the 4 stroke was a real alternative
  22. A single B&S engine not starting is hardly comprehensive proof, and if you were keen enough you would check them to prove your case. Left the wife's car on the drive for a month once, it started first turn of the key.
  23. I said the last time I used it, the first time was many years ago so its you that need to get "ur" facts straight. What makes you think that just because I am familiar with alkylate fuel I would prefer it over pump? When its as convenient and as cheap as pump, maybe. A little dearer would be OK if I owned a hedge trimmer perhaps.
  24. I will make do with whatever you have but I prefer "Pferdd", they last a bit better than most
