  1. The vent zippers just dig in the back of your legs particularly when driving. Had the vents open last few days and cant say I have noticed any decrease in temperature around the elbow skin area.
  2. Get a variety of lengths, a long sling can be hitched to shorten it if need be but a long sling wont stretch
  3. Now you mention it I did learn a lot from banger racing so I will say yes:laugh1:
  4. You do keep coming back to this and I still don't understand why you are saying the trainers are to blame, the training is mandated by the HSE not trainers. Trainers exists primarily because the HSE says we need training. They said that because they have a duty of care and the accident statistics showed the need. The "need" for training and updates is further propagated by the ambulance chasers and the government allowed that so that's where your tedious rants and insults belong, I am sure they will be just as interested as we are. Training and refreshers are HSE mandated across industries, its not just tree work. See what the IRATA or machine operators (for example) have to go through.
  5. That's not at all confusing, when you stop breaking chit, you have learned, simples.
  6. Geländewagen is a compound word, they like compound words in German Gelände meaning landscape or countryside and wagen meaning vehicle the combination means cross country vehicle
  7. I would like to say. Well said that man
  8. It can be done but converting is often more work than building from scratch Much will depend on the design of the flat and its condition
  9. Send it to me and I will make it so you can:lol:
  10. No they just wont work
  11. There should be a speed control on the valve, its a black knob unless its broken off when it will leave a small brass spigot.
  12. You have to keep them tame, I have one who owes for the last 2 jobs, not a fortune but he is waiting for me to find time to do another job, he will be waiting till he pays what he owes.
  13. There may well be but I suspect they will be jobs for the A&E department
  14. Ha ha ha ha no really what is it?
  15. Ummmm Dowty haven't made pumps for quite a while now so there is every chance that the pump is suffering from old and knackered. Check first that the supply pipe from the tank is big enough, that could be causing cavitation.
  16. None, the fly press is primarily a production line machine where the hydraulic press tends be much slower and thus not so good when you have thousands of units to make. Modern press work can beat the old school but needs a significant investment in machine and tooling so works best on the highest volume work. A fly press is a grim place to spend a shift or two.
  17. It isn't just the booze though mate, the entire economy is expensive If you lived like a hermit you could save but it would be an austere existence. I suppose if you have a goal to achieve it would be doable
  18. Indeed but where the pay is good the cost of living is also high so while you may be earning it you will also be spending it.
  19. Petrol/Diesel??? CC?
  20. +1:thumbup1:
  21. I will "duck that" then
  22. Christ on a bike, what do you get for the 600?
  23. Just put a new drum on it
  24. Small blowtorch wont do it and quenching is not needed take it to someone with oxy acetylene or oxy propane and get them to sort it
  25. Ha ha Freudian slip from auto correct, viscous as in you would need to be thick to want to use that:laugh1:
