  1. When you say logbook and restricted, you weren't expecting to find the restriction on the log book were you?
  2. That's a tadd vague as an estimate 300 is about the mark I would want to pay
  3. If you sell the 040 a 440 is what you should buy MS440 is the successor to the 044, both were top of the line saws in their day What is the asking price?
  4. What rubber plate? If that's the splined end you can just get a used unit complete.
  5. would you buy a rubber plate as well for the yoke? The whole unit is called a universal joint or UJ. Each UJ has 2 yokes and a "spider" or "cross" in between, each one has four caps containing needle bearings You will be lucky to find a single yoke for sale
  6. You have answered your own question, the discharge is to close and that's what is causing the problem
  7. Its an antique and it has no chain brake (to the best of my recollection) If its a good clean example and cheap get it and sell it on to a collector, they are a tight bunch so don't pay much for it. You can then use the profit for something more modern
  8. Seriously??
  9. That's exactly what it's for, but I don't think your firearms ticket would cover it:laugh1:
  10. Just don't try it wilt the ally ones:laugh1:
  11. Well he is already out there doing the experience thing and experience brings skills and skills brings more money
  12. Spot on, and if you want to develop as a climber you cant beat the "journeyman" route. Work as many places as you can, work with as many different climbers as you can. Eyes and ears open. it wont all be good and ground breaking but it will all be experience.
  13. He didn't say skilled:laugh1:
  14. Sounds like you are living the dream
  15. I would be a bit careful holding this up as an example for example this answer is misleading to say the best of it Q. When would I need an Operator’s Licence? A. An Operator’s Licence is required for carrying goods in vehicles used for hire or reward. If they cant get that right what else have they got wrong?
  16. I would email the DVLA and ask them what they will swap that for
  17. They will swap like for like categories, you have 12 months on a non UK licence but if you are going to be driving anything other than a car make sure the licence clearly covers you for the categories you are driving. Otherwise they might decide they cant decide and decide to issue a summons and let the courts decide.
  18. What he said:thumbup1:
  19. It's not at all confusing. Don't forget that most of the tree surgery world runs under 3500kg so doesn't need a CPC. The rest depends on activity, if I am a tree surgeon I don't need it, if tomorrow I become a log deliverer I do need it because I am not a tree surgeon and am driving for a living. ( vehicles over 3500kg)
  20. Not really, a farmer farms for a living, a driver drives for a living.
  21. I get that but the point I wa making is that this didn't just fall out of the woodwork and searching first would be a good idea
  22. Oh well, guess you will have to come up with your own search terms then:laugh1:
  23. There isn't a VOSA website any more, it's merged with VSA To become DVSA but the information you need is HERE https://www.gov.uk/driver-cpc-exemptions-examples Once again If your vehicle is under 3500kg you don't need it. If you don't drive for a living you don't need it.
  24. Depends on what vehicle you are driving If its bigger than 3500kg (transit, cabstar etc) then yes.
  25. FFS your mate is wrong, just the quickest look on the net https://www.gov.uk/driver-cpc-exemptions-examples You don't need a CPC if driving isn't your main occupation
