  1. It's not at all confusing. Don't forget that most of the tree surgery world runs under 3500kg so doesn't need a CPC. The rest depends on activity, if I am a tree surgeon I don't need it, if tomorrow I become a log deliverer I do need it because I am not a tree surgeon and am driving for a living. ( vehicles over 3500kg)
  2. Not really, a farmer farms for a living, a driver drives for a living.
  3. I get that but the point I wa making is that this didn't just fall out of the woodwork and searching first would be a good idea
  4. Oh well, guess you will have to come up with your own search terms then:laugh1:
  5. There isn't a VOSA website any more, it's merged with VSA To become DVSA but the information you need is HERE https://www.gov.uk/driver-cpc-exemptions-examples Once again If your vehicle is under 3500kg you don't need it. If you don't drive for a living you don't need it.
  6. Depends on what vehicle you are driving If its bigger than 3500kg (transit, cabstar etc) then yes.
  7. FFS your mate is wrong, just the quickest look on the net https://www.gov.uk/driver-cpc-exemptions-examples You don't need a CPC if driving isn't your main occupation
  8. Try driver CPC:thumbup1:
  9. Unfortunately its as numb as it is dumb
  10. Yes but at least they have put a winch on the front so you can stop and drag the front end around anything more than a gentle turn:laugh1:
  11. You don't have any grounds for that kind of racial stereotyping. You might as well say Smokers do awful tree work I have seen that and much worse done by people who live in houses and don't smoke.
  12. What engine has that got?
  13. We took a load of buddleia off the face of an old church once. Some of it was quite small some was surprisingly huge (for buddleia) Back in the day when a mobile was a phone, not a camera
  14. I have a couple of breakers to collect, one of them will have a sender Are you in a rush?
  15. The TPO, if one exists is a matter of public record. Some (more enlightened) councils have them online, if your doesn't you can visit the LA offices and see all TPOs they have. Have a look at the consent they sent you for a TPO number
  16. Fixed that for you:001_rolleyes:
  17. Same here My Bashlin alloys (shanks) are at least 18 years old. They have seen many replacement gaffs and pads. They are currently sporting Buckingham super wrap top pads (Velcro) and are as good as anything else I have ever tried.
  18. Its the arming switch for the forward firing .50 cal for the next ass that pulls out on me while I am labouring up a Pennine hill with a chipper.
  19. No it didn't, this has been in the works for ages and widely discussed on here just do a search
  20. What's wrong with the land rover that makes it less safe than the Volvo?
  21. With you on this, I first heard that story way before the internet days and many times since
  22. Its a steel bed with ally drop sides built from scratch Materials from a local steel stock holder and service metals Service Metals
  23. I can, if the trailer is empty and has a tare weight declared the enforcement people can see that its within limits. If the trailer is partially loaded they wont necessarily know what the load weighs so each one would need to go to a weighbridge. Clearly not an ideal situation. And remember, that text is provided without citation, its probably just someone's opinion, just becausee its on the internet......
  24. DPF is diesel particulate filter Makes for a proper expensive exhaust system They don't like town driving, it blocks them up and a blocked filter can damage the engine. A blast down the motorway will get them up to temperature, which cleans them.
