  1. No matter, it probably wont run anyway
  2. You said So I can get a licence for a small truck and run a fleet of artics???? Well no because licences are specific.
  3. So I can get a licence for a yard barely big enough to turn a 7500kg truck then run 20 artics and 40 trailers from there can I?
  4. Whats the detail of the licence? Does it cover the artics or something smaller?
  5. Good on you for that. I honestly cant be bothered although for my part I am a born sceptic and these tails always have a bit of spin one way or the other. Its a sad state of affairs but if they did it they wouldn't be the first, and probably not the last.
  6. I don't know about the ancient woodland issue but much of IKEA's stuff is softwood and the furniture industry is set up for anything but gnarly old ancient woodland stuff
  7. Ian will see you right Ian Morgan Arboricultural Training Staffordshire | Ian Morgan Arb | Ian Morgan
  8. The only cool X man
  9. Wrecking ancient woodlands is bad, (if that's what they did) not taking funding for new trees is worse. Taking the money wont make Ikea cut down more ancient woods but it will mean more trees can be planted
  10. How much could it be short by and how long would they get away with it before it was noticed? If at all a couple of percent? I know if I filled a combi can and it came up significantly short I would notice If the pump did deliver short, it wouldn't be a tragedy from the saws point of view
  11. That must be all of 50 or 60ml, if the bloke before you didn't tip it in:laugh1:
  12. Seriously???? Pumps are regularly calibrated and even if they were out by a fraction it wouldn't make much difference I have been boing it that way for decades and have yet to have a problem
  13. An accurate mix is easy, just use a one shot or a dosing bottle
  14. No you don't. The trigger is the valve, it starts and stops metering from there.
  15. Been there done that, swapped the engine out for a Perkins, trouble was it is designed to be loaded and would pick a wheel up like some demented terrier peeing on a lamp post Go on then, I have to ask...How much?
  16. That's nice, do you have a video of your files? Oh and its fact not theory
  17. How can that be the case? The cutters on the file face in one direction similar to those on a chainsaw or silky. Rubbing them the wrong way is just going to damage the leading edge of the cutter, whatever it is. How can the file become sharpened but the material of the cutter, the file is a magnitude harder than the cutter body. They (used to) sharpen files by dipping them in acid. Dragging a file back is the chainsaw equivalent of putting the chain on backwards. In engineering if a file "pins" up (usually happens with softer materials) they use a wire brush to clear the debris, they certainly don't drag the file backwards over the work piece.
  18. Oh well, I cant answer the question without knowing so if you say so I will leave it at that
  19. What do you use the truck for
  20. You don't need a CPC holder if your "O" licence is a restricted one (as most tree surgeons would require) You don't need a driver CPC if driving isn't your main job so as a tree surgeon you are exempt
  21. Don't bother with the lawyer, you are bang to rights. Pay the fine and move on.
  22. Those expansion pipes are a work of art
  23. The canals trust have barges with a JCB type back actor, they used a couple up here to dredge the canal
  24. As does a light tap of the file or a rub with a gloved hand, neither of which will reduce the life of the file Files are designed to cut in one direction
  25. Dragging on the back stroke is a flogging offence
