  10. I think he means the dealer won't want to deal with a grey import saw.
  11. You can only check it against the description, the time for wheel kicking was before the hammer fell
  12. They don't have hydraulic oil, the 990 uses UTO in the back end, that's why the pumps are usually down on pressure You cant mend a pump with new oil and hydraulic oil is thinner than UTO so it would be even lower on pressure particularly at operating temp.
  13. Buy a spider jack
  14. Had the airpower gold They were fine till I went to work in them, then they fell apart in 9 months 2/10 never again
  15. You can't renovate shims, they are what they are, if the relief valve is ok, leave it alone
  16. Take the nuts off around the PTO housing then lift the housing away, back and slightly upwards. Reverse to re fit, mind the pick up pipe
  17. More than I care to remember, they were made a few miles from here and are pretty common in these parts The pump is inside the PTO housing
  18. A new pump will bring it back to the 200psi Have you got the old pump off?
  19. Hi Simon When it rolled out of Meltham the pump would have making 2000psi Down to 1700 isn't good but its better than some Cleaner oil isn't going to make the pump produce any more pressure but it will last longer not pumping a decades worth of crud around the system. You can swap the pump out for a new one but an upgrade can bring you more problems. The system is set up around the 2000psi, you can give it more but a lot of the system is old school on rubber "O" rings and they often blow out with an upgrade. You can also can also blow the rings out if you replace a tired pump with a new one but that's something you have to live with. Replace the seals and its all good again.
  20. Have you cleaned the oil cooler? You will find it conveniently buried in the bottom of the engine under the covers. Situated where they are the get overlooked, most operators don't even know it's there. Clean it out and see if that cures the problem.
  21. It's called a QR (quick response) code Worth doing of you are having some new sign writing I

  23. The local war memorial on the hill over the village serves as our weather forecasting device If you cant see the monument, its raining. If you can see the monument, its about to rain.
  24. That's a common fault, particularly on loader tractors
  25. Getting at the pump isn't that easy but I can sort that for you. First job is to change the oil and the filter.
