  1. That is the gospel
  2. That's the way to go, a net will stop big stuff but it will let all the dust out and still make a mess, particularly on your truck. Nets aren't all that durable where wood chip is concerned
  3. Not much need for large amounts of stock any more Between the four or five factors that cover my area, I can have whatever I need delivered to me within hours and most of the time under an hour. Keeps prices keen as well:thumbup1:
  4. Nick will see you right, I would have take it on myself but its busy busy busy here
  5. If that's the worst that's happened you did well. Wait till you get one that forms a limited company around the build then drags out payment until they can wind the company up to avoid paying a load of bills. I spotted the change on the purchase order and sent it back with a "no thanks". Others weren't so lucky
  6. Saw a couple with the ends melted off
  7. Good God man, what are you hitting them with?
  8. When you say logbook and restricted, you weren't expecting to find the restriction on the log book were you?
  9. That's a tadd vague as an estimate 300 is about the mark I would want to pay
  10. If you sell the 040 a 440 is what you should buy MS440 is the successor to the 044, both were top of the line saws in their day What is the asking price?
  11. What rubber plate? If that's the splined end you can just get a used unit complete.
  12. would you buy a rubber plate as well for the yoke? The whole unit is called a universal joint or UJ. Each UJ has 2 yokes and a "spider" or "cross" in between, each one has four caps containing needle bearings You will be lucky to find a single yoke for sale
  13. You have answered your own question, the discharge is to close and that's what is causing the problem
  14. Its an antique and it has no chain brake (to the best of my recollection) If its a good clean example and cheap get it and sell it on to a collector, they are a tight bunch so don't pay much for it. You can then use the profit for something more modern
  15. Seriously??
  16. That's exactly what it's for, but I don't think your firearms ticket would cover it:laugh1:
  17. Just don't try it wilt the ally ones:laugh1:
  18. Well he is already out there doing the experience thing and experience brings skills and skills brings more money
  19. Spot on, and if you want to develop as a climber you cant beat the "journeyman" route. Work as many places as you can, work with as many different climbers as you can. Eyes and ears open. it wont all be good and ground breaking but it will all be experience.
  20. He didn't say skilled:laugh1:
  21. Sounds like you are living the dream
  22. I would be a bit careful holding this up as an example for example this answer is misleading to say the best of it Q. When would I need an Operator’s Licence? A. An Operator’s Licence is required for carrying goods in vehicles used for hire or reward. If they cant get that right what else have they got wrong?
  23. I would email the DVLA and ask them what they will swap that for
  24. They will swap like for like categories, you have 12 months on a non UK licence but if you are going to be driving anything other than a car make sure the licence clearly covers you for the categories you are driving. Otherwise they might decide they cant decide and decide to issue a summons and let the courts decide.
  25. What he said:thumbup1:
