  1. our local tip will allow my 16ft ifor cage trailer to be dragged in by an "enclosed" vehicle such as my friends discovery and unload waste yet will not allow me to go onto the site in my hilux tipper. madness!
  2. easiest way to drop pressure out of the hydraulic line was to stop engine and wiggle the spool lever for the associated spool valve then the implement pipe male end give it a press on something hard to drop the pressure out of that pipe. that generally works when fitting stuff to our jcb telehandler or any of my machinery
  3. well held by the last fella!!! thats got some kick to it.........perhaps better suited to a naval battleship than the local target range!!
  4. bedgebury is a great place, only down the road from me. i did quite a bit of work there about 2 years ago when they invested in the visitor attractions and cycle routes
  5. http://www.holzhackmaschinen.com/
  6. try and get the bearing code from the casting and take it into a bearing factors alternatively just take the whole thing in and they should be able to vernier an exact bearing to match, i am able to buy all my jensen and timberwolf bearings from our village bearing place. http://www.bearingboys.co.uk
  7. ball joints should be located on the ends of the upper and lower A arms. probably 4 x M8 bolts locating plate thru the A arm and then the ball joint with the stub going into back of hub assembly
  8. air burners work ok it the wood is clean, you need a good supply of waste pallets etc to keep heat in if the green waste is contaminated with soil or is very wet. i spent weeks messing around with one trying to get the same output as what was quoted to me but nowhere near achived the quantities i was told. also where do you stand with getting rid of the ash?? i know its easier to get rid of chip than the contents of a fire
  9. just sink it in the drink and use the chip flywheel as a prop and sail her to the job!!
  10. why dont you just measure the equipment that your gonna carry and work out what size box your gonna need? saws, rigging, climbing, gear, fuel, tools, spares. keep it packed tight so it cant all rattle around and your done.
  11. word of mouth and a good reputation goes along way. sign written vehicles have worked well for me. if your from a small community get some flyers or business cards in the local pub, shop, garage etc. today i took out an ad in the parish council magazine which included ads in the local footie club and cricket club website and newsletter, didnt cost alot gives me good local coverage and supports the community
  12. i have worked alongside prac browns chip forwarder ferrying chip from the wood to the tip site. 220hp 4 wd tractors with 18ton silage trailers and the pair of us struggled to keep up with him
  13. dont drink coopers pale ale all night then swap to another beer or it will taste of peanuts. watch out for ms macs pies as half of them aint cooked. be impressed by the drive thru off licenses!! give the aussies bludgers as much stick as they give u and all will be good
  14. my tyres are 37x12.50x15 so that quite an increase over standard size, i say the 15mph was at approx 45mph and increases as i get faster
  15. the 15mph is by how far the speedo at the needle is away from the true road speed
  16. yeh it does change it steve, mine is out about 15mph after i changed tyres
  17. no it was a manual operated one rather than electric, it would of fitted as bed width is the same just overall length was longer. one i removed was made by a firm called armadillo

  22. Buzz, check behind the wheels to see if there is any clay/ mud/stones lodged in there. if so it will throw wheels out of balance and give same symptoms. My brother had exact same problem with his disco and was worried, he brought it round and 5 mins with steam cleaner it was sorted
