  1. i just been looking thru the mogfest past photos and found my mog on there with its previous owner
  2. put some pictures in my album of the lower chassis build, you can see where the ram mounts are, i mounted the pump behind that on a braced up plate.

  3. really easy mate, the tip frame and lift frame are from a written off transit i brought on ebay, i made it 4 ft shorter and 6 inches narrower and with 40 quids worth of box section to make the subframe to mate it to the hilux mounting points. because its a shortened frame the ram is right at the front so will lift 2 ton easily.

lights are the transit ones i mounted on angle brackets from the subframe. all in all cost me 300 quid and a few evenings to build.

if u want any build pics just let me know

  4. yeah i had the entire rear body and chipbox shotblasted, galvanised and now painted, gonna look smart in its john deere green paint job

  5. yeah not too bad, been prettying up the mog.....god i hate full resprays!!!

  6. try farm sales for old bale elevators, or fruit / veg grading equipment as most have a similar rubber belt set up as a processor. alot of the time they can be brought quite cheaply if farms are upgrading
  7. i just blame the kentish seaside air............ responsible for many a strange thing!
  8. i regularly have a tractor and flail on hire due to the large amounts of agri fencing i do, and like has said before the cut is only as good as the operator. we mainly use a 5ft rotary head combined with 30ft of reach make hedges easy work and providing its a nice dense hedge you can make it look as tho its cut by hand. one of my customers has hundred or so acres of orchard and supplies sainsburys with fruit, they have 30ft double rowed leylandi all the way round as windbreaks......those are all machine cut but have the apperance of being cut by hand
  9. that mog is for sale up the road from me, has been on ebay before a few months back as i spoke to the previous owner as i was bidding on some spares he had
  10. down here its £26 per hour for a new 220hp 50kph tractor with whatever kit u want behind it for £27per hour plus vat
  11. whilst working on romney marsh in kent i saw some kind of big cat as we were forage harvesting the headlands of a maize field. myself and the other driver saw it, not sure on species but like in other posts there are numerous sightings in kent
  12. superwinch do a mounting kit for their husky winches. off the shelf part appparently as a local firm has them fitted to all of their transits
  13. it was for sale on there recently.... made 12k or so. i think thats a bit dodgy as the photos from the old ad were used. also the previous owner was located only a few miles from me and i havent seen the tractor about recently
  14. http://www.mamut.net/controls/shop/shops/4/standardplist.asp?wwwalias=chipperblades&gid=52 thats saturn machine knives site by the way.
  15. i had same problem with my 528. both blades snapped thru outer bolt hole. i scrape the blade seat clean and wire brush it before refitting so i knew it wasnt down to that, blade bolts were nice and tight but when looking in comparison to my other blade sets they were alot thinner so i put it down to that as i have never had a blade failiure since then on my alternate blade sets
  16. you lucky git.............. i want ur mog!!!!
  17. shrek ya dont need a compressor mate your mog will have one onboard for brakes and that. i just plug airline into brake pipe outlets on rear and inflate from there. happy days let ya tyres down!!!
  18. is the oil pump adjustable on that model?? perhaps opened up too far?? filter come off end of pick up pipe and its drawing excessive amounts? split pick up pipe??
  19. i reckons it one of monkeyd set up pics with his kids toys!! the tree is actually a pot plant and that is a model railway figure in foreground!!!
  20. if your after self drive go for coppards, they got a posi trac 100 tracked skidsteer and mulcher for about half of the above prices. good machine, with plenty of power.
  21. saw a strange way of hedgelaying in ireland once, definately not pretty in any way but they would partially sever stems with saw blade mounted on tractor hedgecutter then with a 360 excavator and bulking bucket they would beat the hedge down to a pulp. looked terrible but after seeing results of previous years efforts it wasnt too bad
  22. common term used in agriculture, look on any new tractor literacture and it generally lists the amount of spool valves the machine will have
  23. i found 3 pieces of steel reebar inside 2ft conifer stump, the 361 was going great billowing stacks of saw dust out the cut........wondered what was happening when the dust changed to sparks............thought i was grinding in the workshop!!
  24. whats the access like mark??? i can reach 36ft with tractor and saw blade!!!!
