  1. cant help at moment but come winter time i should have about 1500 lengths cut and stacked
  2. mick, if u need a gas bottle for your welder try adams gas in margate, they deliver a bottle of argon to your door for 40 quid. From what i remember you have to pay a refundable deposit on the bottle when your a new customer but you get that back if u decide you dont want it anymore, works out alot cheaper than paying annual bottle rental plus refills.
  3. try mower and plant services in headcorn, they got shed loads of old husky's under the benchs so might be able to sort you out and they're not too far away either.
  4. Its not that one mate, this is number 166 or 163 of 200 (or 240 odd if you count the parts cars etc built). pretty much identical to that one on piston heads tho. they are only gonna go up in value as they get rarer down to them getting smashed up by the rallycross boys.
  5. Group B was legendary and to cancel it was a mistake. I know there was some high profile accidents which led to the demise of it but since then there have been more accidents and deaths in motorsport and the respective series were allowed to continue. The cars were mental, combined turbo and supercharged engines and hardly any weight made for some seriously quick times. Specialists said that the cars were so quick between corners that the drivers eyes couldnt focus properly leading to tunnel vision. alot of the group b cars remaining were used for rallycross and can still be seen hammering round lydden hill. There is actually a mint condition rs200 with under 2000 miles for sale in a car dealership round here.... was advertised for 110,000 last year. If only!!
  6. hmmmm, at that price i would charter a boat and watch it from the water would probably be cheaper
  7. i helped clear the track up last year to make way for another event that was being held at the powerstation.... the good thing with the x fighters events is generally the venues are pretty cool in their own right then add some of the best riders in the world and your in for a good night. when living in australia i used to go see the crusty demons world tour as well as all the king of the coast FMX comps pretty regularly and there nothing like seeing them guys flip them bikes 40ft up only a few feet away from your seat.
  8. My parents sell them in the farm shop, like you say they are overpriced for what they are, not really big enough for the amount of birds they specify they can hold either.
  9. Dont make the opening for the door / pop hole too big otherwisw you will get birds like crows / rooks etc flying in and taking the eggs...... hang lengths of string so they dangle down over the door to stop it. When making the perches dont use anything below the diameter of a broom handle or you will knacker the tendons in their legs. We got near 2000 free range birds including waterfowl!
  10. alright mate, just to say i still want the shogun. had a few problems over last week which hasnt helped namely someone up in scotland cloning my national insurance number and personal details and has been claiming benefits in my name so im currently being investigated by HMRC!! also the council has swapped to some new octogon payment system and lost every contractors payment details currently owing me 9.5k.

  11. just take goods to the value of what you are owed, write to them first explaining you will do so and send it recorded delivery so there is proof they received it. i had a guy try and knock me for 3.5k and after doing the 35 round trip to his yard 4 times and listening to every excuse under the sun i had enough. Turned up the last time and saw him peering out from behind the curtains but sent his wife out saying he wasnt there so i jumped onto their quad bike and loaded into the back of a horse box parked in the corner of their yard, i then hooked the horsebox onto the back of the truck and proceeded to drag it wheel clamp and all down their freshly tarmaced driveway then back home................ 15 mins went by and i got a call saying that he had the money in cash in full for me..... just proves it sometimes takes soo much more than what is really necessary to get your money.
  12. mark, u trying to work from my philosphy that its easier to drag the whole tree to the chipper than it is to cut it up and carry it?
  13. he has one of 3 running jagdpanther tank destroyers in the world built from the parts of 2 hulks that were shot to bits on a cheq firing range. they started rebuilding a hetzer tank that had been sitting in the bottom of a lake for years and is now all up and going. unfortunately not british kit but never fails to make me smile when i go into the yard.
  14. i think that first half track you pictured belongs to one of my customers, you should see some of the other toys he has!
  15. front 2 pillars each side for the rear body are in different positions on a mk3 to a mk4 so you cant do a straight swap tho its dead easy to make an adaptor plate
  16. hycrack runs straight off the pto an you push the timber onto it on a flat table behind the tractor. advantage with that machine is the pressure you can put onto the timber by pressing onto it with the 360 and the the reach and manouverability.
  17. Have a job with that one mate, been sitting in my yard for the last 3 months!!
  18. check to see if the sliding section of the caliper has seized on its pins
  19. if you have problems getting the bead to seal if its tubeless, wrap a ratched strap around the tyre in the centre of the tread then tighten it up... it causes it to squeeze to the edge of the rim and seat well enough to get some wind in there.
  20. have you tried bearing boys in kent, they can always source obscure parts pretty quickly. they are only a field or 2 away from me and have always been really helpful.
  21. our local council works on 80% price basis when it comes to PROW work.
  22. hi there, still have the toyota as i havent got a replacement for it yet, been a few delays! 160 watchers on ebay and 20 odd offers but had to turn them down as i cant be without a truck.

    cheers
