  2. fast eddy enduro series isnt too bad and the acu british cross country championship is going to 5 rounds this year so should be a bit better than last years
  3. Just buy a tractor!! if you want to go fast buy a mog or fastrac, if you want big horsepower get a 9520 deere. if you want to get in low buildings get something with a low profile cab or small wheels. you say you got a budget of 12k then there is a multitude of tractors you will get for that if you look further than arbtalk. internet's a big place mate, get searching
  4. what do you want to do with this tractor? run a processor? go farming? haul timber?
  5. open the bonnet and look under the black plastic below the bottom of the windscreen. drain holes get full of leaves and gunge then the water flows the wrong direction and runs down the inside of the bulkhead and into the footwells. seems a common occurance after snow has sat covering a vehicle for a period of time
  6. common vauxhall problem. go on the vauxhall forums to see how it's a regular occurance on the combo, corsa, tigra etc. door seals, bulkhead vents and drains could be blocked. i checked all those then used a wet vaccuum and got over 7 litres of water out of the missus motor.
  7. junk the original stand and make up one with retractable legs. weld up a frame that uses the 4 bolt fixing on the base of the chipper then weld some large box section steel on the edge of the frame that will act as a sleeve to the legs made from another piece of smaller box. drill a few holes so you can vary the height of the legs when the chipper is down.
  8. alright mate, not sure if you got my text but tip that chip on the concrete next to where the big chipper is parked. told the folks you are heading round so just pop in when you want.

  9. try burden brothers in kent, they break deeres.
  10. big 360 excavator with a single tined ripper or a decent sized dozer with the same
  11. i came across this when doing a big signage contract along the north downs way in kent and surrey, lots of people mainly wearing anoraks in summer were asking me about the geo cashe site along from where i was working. I was amazed that once i knew about it how many people were actually walking or driving the trail for this sole purpose
  12. I bet you have a crane or some machine lurking in the bushes to feed it rather than stretching!!
  13. My mates just did an overland motorbike trip in morocco and loved it. I did the simpson desert crossing in australia in my landcruiser a few years back but would of loved to have taken a bike with me to play in the dunes!! Sand certainly looks cleaner in your photo then at the beach race at weston last time i did it.
  14. Nice!! where in the world is that??
  15. That looks like a fixed thumb attachment welded to the underside of the dipper arm mate. you can use a bucket or root fork with it to grab timber by crowding the timber against it to hold it.
  16. was working fine all evening then when more than 25 members got in the room my messages stopped receiving and sending then it logged me out and wont let me log back in!
  17. raced motocross and supermoto during from age 12 til 21 now i mechanic for a couple of teams in british cross country and enduro championships.
  18. auto lift, tip master or siamax contracting... or do it yourself!
  19. wouldnt wanna do that with my kinghitter, 350kg hammer knocking a blade through timber isnt gonna end up pretty
  20. had 2 artic loads go missing, christmas time about 2 years ago. all extracted and stacked on hard standing down a private road. went down there a few days later and the whole lot was gone! padlock still untouched, gate hinges untouched so it had to have been lifted over the fence with a machine sitting on the road and the fact there was no saw dust meant they took it in whole tree lengths.
  21. Yeah we use root forks on the 360 for grubbing out (obviously rakes up less soil than a bucket) and putting into piles so the forwarder could collect. Driver would shake the brash during loading then had a good couple of miles shaking its way down the extraction route. was then unloaded at the burner where we had another machine with grapple. By the time it was fed into the burner it had been handled so many times you could of used a spoon to move it!! We were really struggling with disposal due to the volume being extracted, forwarder was coming in consistantly every half hour and soon had a pile which i could sit on with the 13 tonner and load the burner from well above the rim of it.
