  5. saw does not leak when off, i thought it may be a crack in the casing as ive had the saw for 10 year and it just lies at the chipper so the base of the saw is quite worn with ticking over on tarmac. it has just started doing it this week, i will adjust the oil and see what happens, thanks for the reply mate:thumbup1:

  11. i got a consultant to do it matty easy peasy, although you have to have some kind of order to your paperwork. been working out great for me and has landed me about £10k of work since i got it, also just got me on an approved suppliers list for a large office renting company with the first job being £2k.
  12. Yes but you went to the shop not the shop coming to you. i think that is what gets to contractors is the time and expense to go and quote, for people to say "no thanks". But we all offer a free quote so everyone, man up and stop complaining

  18. Thank you for the replies. ive sent the link to the arbtalk fungi directory with the pictures of meripilus ( arbtalk:adore:) and the client has confirmed these are the fruiting bodies he has been removing, what would you all recommend? with the target being the road i am going for felling but i am interested in what you all think. cheers again
  19. Its on a mature beech, the tree in question is in decline showing some die back but a definite smaller and paler green leaf than its neighbouring beech, has a slight lean towards the main road that is only 15 feet away, tree is about 3 feet dbh with a large typical canopy spread, i am thinking Meripilus but its hard to see in this picture, i will get some better photos as i am going back to the garden to do work in a couple of weeks, the client also says that it has large fruiting bodies but they remove them, thanks for any replies.

  23. Is the 5 ton payload listed as the chassis cab or with a body on it? Because a body with tipping gear can be quite heavy, ive put a chipper on a cabstar just behind the cab and fed into a chip box, it was handy but was a bit high. sounds like a good project mate, remember and get some pictures, good luck with it
