  1. Cracking pictures John, big tree
  2. Good luck to them. The kind of customer that want there trees cut for free is not the kind of customer you want anyway, if these guys take these customers out of the equation then the less timewasters you will meet whilst quoting.
  3. i think we have all felt the devastation that cancer can bring at some point, good on you jennie for making a difference.
  4. Done. All the best Jennie
  5. Your hen pecked mate I would watch that it's a slippery slope, I was only joking about the tumble drier
  6. I've never used pegs the wife does all the clothes washing and hanging it out although I have used the tumble drier. Does that count ?
  7. Looking good rich:thumbup1: The obligatory tape on the broken and damaged toes, used rolls of that over the years
  8. Cheers rich Great technique of catching the kick then kneeing the caught leg, the thing that makes me laugh is unless you have done some Thai you have no idea how hard these boys are!! taking the kicks full power and checking some of them is unbelievable conditioning. It's a thing of beauty
  9. Clean fish, was it liced? Fished the Tay for years on the scone palace and muir ton beats. Had some great days but the runs faded after the 98 storm and changed all the lies, work then got in the way I need to get back into it. Funnily enough I was looking into an Alaskan trip recently. Well done mate its a great feeling
  10. its all relative, its not as good as a tirfor thats right but a tirfor is not as good as a 10 ton double drum igland and on and on...... its fine if you use it within its capabilities and they are about £20, get one an keep it in the van with a couple of slings and a length of old rope
  11. you have funny names now, When i was growing up Whisky was always called liquid violence
  12. youngest of 4 with 3 kids.
  13. i got a demo of the GTM unit and it was good and they were offering a really good price on a demo, the thing that put me off was the mitsubishi engine i had never used one so i had no idea what they were like, i ended up getting a CS100 and paying the extra but it has never missed a beat and being a kohler engine i knew what i was getting.see if you can get a demo of the titan unit and put it through its paces. good luck with your search the cs100 do come up second hand keep your eyes open.
  14. looks ok for £1800 but i think if i was planning to use it regular i would throw some more money at that figure and get a second hand greenmech CS100, i have a titan electric log splitter just for my own firewood and its about 2 year old now and has been great, good build quality unit, For the price of there equipment i think they offer good value for money for the occasional user.
  15. Escape the winter?!!! You will need to be out the uk for at least 10 months
  16. Great thing to have in the van, I've used these type of winches for years, pull stumps out pull medium trees over lots of uses. It's no tirfor but very handy
  17. I don't do firewood, but if I need a 4x4 I take the hilux or unimog, you will find it very difficult to get one vehicle to do everything, you are going to have to prioritise what you require to undertake the higher percentage of your workload then buy a vehicle that fulfills that.
  18. Mark why don't you just pull the cutlery drawer open in the kitchen and use that

    New Truck

stevies 4x4 iveco is a cracking truck.
  20. Get yourself a renault master tipper, great truck its cost me very little in maintenance over the last couple of years and does over 30 mpg, has the 2.8 iveco engine so plenty power, its front wheel drive that some hate but I've never found it to be a problem.
  21. I have one it runs an 18" bar it's a good solid saw has an old school feel about it that I like, it's not out often any more but I think I will dust it off and give it a spin next week i may also fire up my 266 for a right nostalgic day
  22. Brilliant number plate
  23. That's the funniest description ever, wtf is footbally  This has the following features and specifications: Contrast Collar & Trim Three Button Placket Cool Footbally Fabric Retro-Reflective Hi Vis Tape Washable 25x Size: L
