  7. If they are not too big dig them out, trench all the way round cutting any big roots, hook the tirfor on a root at the back as low as you can this will pull it out. to be fair though, the time that will take you will work out the same price as a grinder hire!! but i do agree it makes alot less mess than a grinder.

  11. my mate has it buzz it was a requirement of edinburgh council (building works) but having it got him a contract for scottish water ( i sub to him for the fencing) but he says it was quite a drawn out procedure to get it and they want paid.
  12. Your plan of chopping up branches in the back of an L200 with a couple of bits of shuttering ply as greedy boards is going to look alot more "pikey" than a smiley face transit or ldv with proper made sides and some sign writing. Most of us started up chopping up branches in the back of a van/trailer my advice to you is keep all the money you make from jobs and buy a cheap chipper as you will soon get demented chopping branches Best of luck to you
  13. i have a set of long reach tanaka hedge cutters snapped a couple of parts in the gears but parts are cheap, leave a nice fine cut so i use them for the tighter trimmed hedges and i use my stihl ones for any serious hedging
