  5. Id go for lantra i have my digger and mewp ticket with them, thorough courses, although a consideration may be the certificates expire after 5 years.
  6. Mine, shes 16 now, that picture was taken last year but she just seems to have got really old this year. Gonna break my heart when she goes. Such is life i suppose.
  7. I cant remember the model buzz but it came from jas p with forestry guarding and a double drum winch on the back, great for pulling timber out and on its own was fine, but i never liked it with the trailer on it extracting timber i preferred the MB.

  9. used one with a botex on the back for a local authority i use to work for, really good go anywhere in the woods great maneuverability in the rack especially with the steer and drawbar on the trailer, it was replaced with a valmet which was good but no where near as good as the MB.
  10. No one knows for sure what "rock bottom prices are" as everyone will have different overheads, the guys quoting £200 less than tom could still be making a good net profit.

  14. Dont know about landies mate but i have used this guy to build looms for a few projects, had one done in jan for a kit car full loom and all fittings and instructions £80. just plugged it in and away it went. Premier Wiring: Loom / Looms, Lights, Cable & relays it may be worth asking

    and if you dont have any thermals mate rip up the in flight mag and stuff it down your trousers for extra warmth, you will thank me when you get out the plane.

  22. yep try and keep the saw on the timber as much as you can, also if you are felling softwood and you have the space (cutting a wider rack) bench fell as much as possible the extra hight saves mega strain on your back, and try and do larch in the winter as you could sned them with a stick i really enjoyed forestry work apart from horrible big hairy outside sitka
