    Pricing a job

I have spoken to a number of arbs about how they price their work to remain competitive in the credit crunch. I'm fairly new at this, but i think the 3 most important thing are: 1. Labour time and the location of the tree (e.g awkward/Distance) 2. Will it involve road a closure 3. What kit is required to do the task Do most people work on those principles or have i missed something?? Personally for me this hasn't changed regardless of the credit crunch!
  2. Hi I hear there's a skill shortage down under, has anyone had experience of working there or emigrating as an arb?
  3. Hi Oliver, Are you still looking for people? Cheers

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
