  1. Sure I saw it say "loose tipped load". But reading this it says loose stacked.....Not sure what that is as a stack is normally tight. Chain oil

The WP30 & 36 use the hydraulic oil.
  4. They run on a heavier oil than diesel. HFO or heavy fuel oil
  5. My waiting list is till August & already have some pre bookings for Sept & Oct.
  6. I use full chisel. Dirty wood will kill both so you might as well have the extra speed of the full. On the Big processor it easily does a full day & more.
  7. In the end bought a Tee box.
  8. Everyone, I take card payments via my phone.
  9. Empty as much as you can, part fill with white & use as normal to empty but before the dead line. Next full fill & the amount left wont be measurable. No need to flush & dispose of unless done on D day.
  10. The reason red is cheaper is less tax not less base costs.
  11. Needs to be bunded now.

  13. Much smaller crane but I uses a group 2 pump & gearbox on my processor mounted crane. That replaced an donkey engine pump that it came with. I went for the higher geared so larger flow gearbox to just exceed the LPM flow of the original set up. If anything I need a flow restrictor when running at 540 PTO as the controls can be a little sensitive & full open far to fast. Its done less than 50 hours so far so cant comment on longevity yet but the cost was so low I am not to worried.
  14. For me its the fact I dont know what I will get till I get to the job. Dirty, rotten, metal so run cheap £15 chains not £30+ for the big two. Apart from the extra tensioning they perform the same. At £15 if its bad damage just bin it.
  15. Just re all the comments about the cheap chain. When I took the pic that had done about 30 ibc's of hardwood and 30 ibc's of semi dirty softwood. Its not been sharpened at all. It has been re tensioned twice.
  16. Sorely tempted to convert back. But first bar has lasted a few years.
  17. Prob not with the bar oil in it.
  18. Ok so what do you all think about this sawdust chip?
  19. With a harvester bar you want them to last longer than a year at over £200 each.
  20. To be honest you would have to be blind as you stand near the fluid level gauge with your hand above it.
  21. Yes crap design. But crapper due to the one shot of oil per pull down of the bar. So the bar gets the same volume of oil for a 2" twig as it does for 14" of hard crotch. If the oil is low enough to not feed bar you have bigger issues as machine would not work.
  22. I have used them on a chainsaw & two processors. They do seem to be slightly more stretchy on the first use. After that dont really notice it. They cut fine out of the packet. I sharpen with a grinder so dont know re how hard some teeth are. Put one on my latest processor to do a job & then left it on to do the next. Only adjusted tension once. Not sharpened it at all & it has done about 30 tonnes of hardwood. I have another job with it this week doing softwood & I wont be changing the chain unless it shows signs of loosing its edge. I am expecting it to do 15-20 tonnes. After that I will sharpen it regardless. On my smaller processor I tended to change the chain every job (even big brands). Partly I think due to it using hydraulic fluid to lube the bar creating more wear / heat.
  23. You do know that the msa 220 reduces power by 50% when used on a back pack?
  24. The sthil will run a cool down cycle before charging a hot battery or a heat up one on a cold bat. Then after charging it runs a second cool down cycle.
