  1. C1 two days inc test £700
  2. Thats not the new regs
  3. Then you still need to take the test.
  4. Sadly That's where it all goes wrong
  5. I cant see enough take up if not forced to do so.
  6. Cheers thats new.
  7. From the 20th sept you cant take a BE test but the law will not change till later inthe year. Plus when it does you still need BE on licence so will have to apply for it. With dvla back log that will take time.
  8. You think that the existing house prices are made up of 10-20% for red diesel costs? Thats the only way this can add that much again using white.
  9. If you stop avoiding the questions & give more details & pictures rather than vague statements you will get better help.

Which is what my post says... The weight of one is applied to the other.

The front part is an trailer but it carries the weight of the trailer so not illegal. 7 A heavy motor car or a motor car not described in item 1, 3 or 4 2 trailers if one of them is a towing implement and part of the other is secured to and either rests on or is suspended from that implement, 1 trailer in any other case 8 An agricultural motor vehicle (a) in respect of trailers other than agricultural trailers and agricultural trailed appliances, such trailers as are permitted under items 5, 6 or 7 above,as the case may be; or (b) in respect of agricultural trailers and agricultural trailed appliances — (i) 2 unladen agricultural trailers, or (ii)1 agricultural trailer and 1 agricultural trailed appliance, or (iii)2 agricultural trailed appliances Maximum number of trailers - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK
  12. You can have your say here scroll down to section 4 Changes to HGV and bus driving tests and allowing car drivers to tow a trailer without an extra test - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK
  13. In 97 you got the CE restricted to wagon & drag not artic. If they went to artics he still could not drive them. I dont know about the 60's regs.
  14. You can adapt 1 x 12N & 1 x 12S to make 1 x 13 pin. Or the other way round. You do not gain the extra functions if you go 12n to 13 pin & you loose functions if you go 13 pin to 12n.
  15. No I am saying you will only get the 12n 7 pin functions of your cars socket capability. All 7 wires are in use. Where will the 8th wire come from to make reverse work?
  16. You cant use an adapter to add features. Currently all 7 wires on the cars 12n socket are in use. You need to add an extra socket (12s) or change to 13 pin.
  17. 12n 7 pin does not but adding the 12S 7 pin plug does. Better to just change to the 13pin version.
  18. Looking great. You should post on the migweld forum too. As you plan to use it on other sites to recoup some costs you will need to take it for an IVA to legalise the trailer build.
  19. You get the same attitude with people that have been towing for years but now have to get the licence. I have had some very experienced towers come on courses. Every single one would have failed the test but more importantly every single one learnt a lot about towing / driving professionally. Some of them will carry on as they were & some will change for the better. A course is not long enough to change people perception unless they are willing. For those not willing it would take too long.
  20. Sorry crossed wires. I dont think it needs to be refreshed. Make it like CBT for older drivers, once to unlock it then it stays unlocked.
  21. Take up of those club courses & people who book courses direct amounts to less than 5% of people who are made to take a test. Letting people decide if they need training or not just does not work.
  22. Actually more caravans come under the B licence limit than you would think. Plus all the oldies that still cant actually do it.
  23. Lots are paying a welcome bonus or a stay with us bonus.
  24. Looks like good pay on the head lines but is £15.50 per hour really enough to have no social life, on call 24/7, working roadside with potential to be killed or maimed etc etc.
