  1. Fungi app is great, well done to you for this little creation. Will leave some feedback on itunes when i get a chance.
  2. 13.5, crikey!!!! right going to get on this!!!!!!
  3. 12.1 from the first attempt from me. It bleddy tough going thats for sure! The fact your counting to the end of each set mentally ruins me as my body thinks its the end!
  4. I did try to give them a chance once apon a time to see if they would be helpful to the professional user as it were but as you say they dont seem interested. I did listen to one old boy selling a saw to joe public and the stuff he came out with was intriguing to say the least. The pressure washer is under warranty so they are the nearest to us, when i mentioned it wasnt purchased from them they did seem a little off!!!!!!! ( i did expect it to be slightly awkward)!
  5. Fair enough if 3 weeks is the norm then thats fine by me, I just assumed it would be a faster turn around than that given that its a small machine. Saws i can fix, water pumps i cannot so i will have to wait!!!
  6. I have just taken my grandfathers Stihl pressure washer to my local Stihl dealer in Cheltenham to be fixed under warranty and was informed that it will take them 3 weeks to even look at it let alone fix it! This is the reason why i do not take my saws to them! Useless!
  7. The Dalen is brilliant, it runs a 20 inch bar and i reckon a few times we have maxed it out, it runs as most do either the 4 or six way splitter. I think the 2054 is about 16-18k plus vat this one is the 2052 and on the part ex for my circular saw worked out much cheaper! With our boxer, fast tow trailer and arb trolley we make sure most of our wood comes back to the yard in lengths and then straight through the processor. We do have a splitter but it breaks too much be reliable. Most of our shorter wood i now sell to a few clients as it comes unsplit or cut to length. They get to play with their chainsaws and we return near enough the same money for smaller effort! Is all about minimal handling!
  8. Just hope the road home is straight and there is no need to turn around corners!!!!
  9. I do the whole operation on my own, that was a big bit and as that machine can take 18 inches you have to load it with the hiab. Usually i stack the smaller bits on the flat bed and pull them on the conveyor. Its an expensive machine to get it wrong with the hiab!!!! The Dalen is so quick and with big bits i can load those 1 cube bags in minutes. the boxer skidsteer then moves it to a nearby pallet and then we start again. I also load direct into the ifor trailer and tip into the barn for bulk storage.
  10. This works pretty well, I tried billets and circular saw but so much double handling it drove me nuts. This way i collect/stack it once, pick it up, into processor into bag, skidsteer onto pallets and then into the barn. done!
  11. Currently our chipper is 8.5 inch by 13 inches so the 540 isnt comparable really also our current chipper is 1500kg so towing not a prob! Its the 430 we are interested in to be honest.
  12. I am trying to find some user info on the 430 turntable, i can obviously ring redwoods but i am sure they will say its the best in the world so has anyone used one, had one, destroyed one, loved one etc etc! The stats compare to my chipper at the moment so am considering a change of machine. Its does make me worry that i cannot find much info online regaring the machine so all comments will be gratefully recieved
  13. As Rupe said just send a message and i am sure he wont scare you too much!! Its a very good process, if you are already thinking of becoming AAAC then your already there. The standards are on the AA website for you to download as well.
  14. Seems there is now a kit for the navara!!! Pickup tipper, tipper conversions, tipper conversion kits, nissan navara tipper conversion, nissan D40 chassis tipper conversion, tipper conversions for nissan
  15. A friend of mine sent me this via facebook, Im sure the N Cap rating helped but its shocking. Just goes to show it can sometimes go a little wrong!
  16. Questions to ask, are you near to a road/motorway, does you insurance cover you to leave a fire unattended (mine does not)! And finally will the neighbors mind!!
  17. Congrats guys, a big well done. As Rupe has mentioned you soon start to feel the effects not only through the systems you have put in place but through the jobs that follow. We already have had a few clients approach us due to the AA approval. Its a great achievement and be proud of what you have done.
  18. Any of the sponsored suppliers on the right of this post. All have great postage speed.
  19. There is a company near to me that does attachments for diggers, they are called exac 1, Exac-One Ltd - The Attachment Specialist they do stumpy grinders etc. also i saw in the forestry journal forest machinery hire advertised in the back, they might help.
  20. Yep the hydraulic pressure for the infeed rollers went in my Vermeer at 160 hrs, must of been designed for chipping match sticks and not wood! The previous owners bought the trailer for collecting wood and delivering wood, i did the same. Im not going to go into who's what, said this, did that etc. Its a timber trailer, hence why it has bolsters, and its states it in the manual, you even sell them at shows as "timber trailers" if i have misunderstood this and am using it for the wrong purpose please say! I do recall it being said to me you had had another client with a bent leg and also that the 4m crane isnt really suitable for the chassis it is mounted on. You do make good equipment and i too was a very happy customer, i use the crane every day now and i wouldnt be without it, and every thing else is spot on. Why not instead of trying to belittle me on a public forum take heed from my adaptations and realise that there might be a few flaws in some of your products, why not even give me a call and i can run you through some of the mods! Remember we use your equipment in the real world and not just in your carpark!
  21. Windfall, I havent really commented against his post as it would become stupid and it has all been dealt with previously. As for the relief valve, i can hand on heart swear i never adjusted it, or would not even know how too as i dont mess with hydraulic pressure. They actually took about 9 weeks to sort the splitter having sent it to Italy!!!! it was sent back broken, then sent with the wrong length ram on, then the ram was dropped by the courier and now all my hydraulic pipes are bent! I dont want brew up a storm here as its his word against mine. I know that nothing has been adjusted on the machine, it actually came back from italy with the power under pressure! Stuff breaks, clearly im just unlucky!!!! lol I am now sorting out the splitter head as that has just failed on the same place as the previous one!!
  22. Billy Connolly, brilliant, just been on a half hour Youtube voyage, and now my sides hurt but my vision is clear!!! Billy is GOD!!!! lol
  23. Mr Log Dog, you probably dealt with Jim and he's a really good guy and get stuff done so as you say credit to him. I been busy recently and made some progressive changes to the trailer which have now made it brilliant and truthfully cant fault it, its just about to have 2 side winder jacks mounted to the back with sliding extenders on to stop the trailer from flexing. We have also covered over the exposed ram to stop it from possibly getting hit when loading limbs on. We have been doing estate clearance work for the last 3 days shifting dead elms and i couldnt even think about doing that job now with out a hiab trailer and a boxer skidsteer!!!! Here are a few pics. Riko stuff is good just had some issues, we all do/will at some point!
  24. A mr John Hartland is selling a good one. Google glos fire wood for his number, he is also advertising it in the forestry journal.
  25. I am all out now, used the last lot in the 880 which runs okay on it for milling. I must admit it does smell good!
