  4. I think this is it. https://www.facebook.com/ArbAssociation?fref=ts
  5. I spoke to him yesterday, thanks for passing him on,
  6. Just bumping my thread. Still plenty of work available for both grounding and some climbing work.
  7. Serial number for that saw is: 173688210 Not sure if that helps!

  9. I haven't seen a summer this year, I'm guessing i missed spring and there defo can't be an autumn. Every ash has that disease thingy!!!! Your right Andy, people will cash in, I have had a few calls already about ash disease and suspect leaf fall and bark marks!!!
  10. Is there anybody out there with the relevant CS units, head screwed on and keen to work in the Gloucestershire area. I have days available for groundsman and some climbing work over the next month or so. Please feel free to get in contact should you be interested. David 07730683069.
  11. Jim as I always say don't take it personally or get personal, you only work there . I have seen a set in action, looked at sone at the show and therefore based my decision on that comparison. Dont think i do not do my research before purchases, If riko sold albutt that would be a good thing, I may well of bought one from you but as the factory is just up the road I got it from there.
  12. Exactly what i am getting at, Riko is fine if your on a budget and dont mind mild steel or even cast metal but there is always a better product out there for the more serious user.
  13. Hi Jim, Im not, A comparison was asked between your grab and the Albutt grab. I looked at both the grabs before i bought mine and the build quality is far better on the Albutt. Its just fact dont take offence.
  14. Albutt are just down the road from me and i has seen how these are made and also have the log grab itself and i have to say its very very well made. I also have had some Riko equipement in the past, put it this way, its cheaper but if i had to charge my time out on the amount of hours i spent rebuilding/modifying and welding back together the Riko kit, it would work out far more expensive. Albutt also do the little grab for front loaders as well. Cant recommend Albutt more highly. Riko hmmmm!
  15. Give my friend Luke a call on 07772 274428 , he drives a valtra around Bristol usually full of wood in the trailer on a daily basis. He will surely be able to help.
  16. It spools out and in, I can adjust the speed also on the valve, it's really powerful, meant to be 4 tonne pull but as the skiddy is only a ton I will never find out!!! I have built in spades to the mount to dig in the ground but I think the mark 2 version needs bigger ones!!!! My chipper is the Vermeer bc200 which is 1.5 tonnes, it tows it easily, I have pulled my iveco out of a field with it a few times!!! They are awesome you won't be disappointed!
  17. A few images of our skiddy at work again today, these images are mainly for Big Bolt but all can view. The winch i made myself including the mounts which adapt to mount on the pallet fork frame.
  18. sounds like a plan!!!
  19. I dealt with them before they became arblease and have financed everything through them to this date. Always very good and helpful, rates have always been competive and have a great connection with dealers etc. I financed our processor through them and it was very very easy. Ask for Matt Potter when you call.
  20. Boxer are having an open day in November if you are keen to have a look. My skid steer will be there with the winch i made for it!!! Boxer Power and Equipment - Home (Tel: 01666 500 123)
  21. I forgot to say, that as we are working away from home that there will be accommodation (of sorts) and a trip to the nearest pub for the monday evening. If you have lots of experience or very little it doesnt really matter as long as you have cs30+31. PPE can be supplied if needed. Should be a good job weather permitting.
  22. I need a groundy for a job in liecestershire for 2 days next Monday and Tuesday. Should be fairly easy going as we have the skidsteer with us. Give me a call if you are able to work. 07730683069
  23. verbal quotes, cash in hand!!!!! I am only kidding, admin is part of the job, i keep it simple, designed my own spreadsheets with the formulas encoded in, i use Bento file maker for info storage, email tracking and tpo info on clients and the data from quotes to invoices is transferable.
  24. He has been eating recently!!!! Put on a few pounds, makes a better groundy these days!!!!!
  25. I use XLN terminal, its 14p a transaction and 20 a month. 1.2% on a credit card which i dont let people use unless they pay the extra on top at 2%!! They make it soooo much easier than waiting for cheques, Barclays charge me for handling cash at 2% so thats not even easier! Each cheque is £1.20 to put in so this card machine saves me effort and money.
