  1. Common sense and enthusiasm cannot be bought but you will need those in your kit bag!!! Dont go crazy on new kit, build experience then decide what you need when you know what you need.
  2. Bump again, back in the position where i am looking for a groundie/climber. Must have cs units and a trailer license is really desirable. Fed up of numptys now, there is loads of work, have plenty of toys and its always a fun day. Get in touch.
  3. Dam predictive text on the iPad, I meant whoopie sling!!!
  4. Here is my little winch. Fits perfectly with the spacer I made. I even spliced the rope at the end!! The red rope is a little whoopsie sling I made to wrap around either my skid steer or what ever is handy at the time!
  5. I've had this piece of holly in my yard for ages, we found it on a clearance site two years ago and it was already on the deck and looked solid. Am going to make a table from it hopefully.
  6. it looks like you push the handlebars down to cut!!! the inventor is a genius!!!! Maybe its actually an Oregon prototype!!!!
  7. Halfords new hybrid push bike really helps at work!!!
  8. also dont let them go completely flat, i did this and it then refused to recharge at all. You can get a larger battery pack for it.
  9. Arb Island Parish? You have too much time on your hands to come up with such a place!!!! You would have to take your 150 as your 200t runs that badly!!!!!
  10. wait a minute..... if i was the only one to win a t-shirt does that mean and i am not at all competetive, Theocus is the 2013 Arbshow Arbtalk axe throwing champion!!!! Not that ive thought about it too much... just pointing out a champion like fact!!!! ha ha ha
  11. Well done Steve, got quite addictive after a few throws!! Got that elusive 20 points in the end and the trophy tshirt so all good!!
  12. My log pile has drawn a blank unless you want some huge 5 feet diameter beech!!! Got some 3ish foot horse chestnut. My skidsteer will be at the show from thursday Steve so feel free to use it to move any logs you do have about and up on stands etc.
  13. I bought one of these throw pods at Capel manor, to be fair it makes absolutely no difference to my accuracy when throwing it as I did have the people on the stand running for cover as my attempt went straight up! But stick it in the big shot and its a different story. I used it on a lime tree the other day where normally I would get a few lines stuck in the epi, this didn't, it pulled through easily and saved a bit of time etc. to be truthful they can be a little bouncy when you hit the stem or a branch but other than that give one a go and see. I can't complain
  14. does it have to be a timberwolf?
  15. Well done TY, truly a great effort!
  16. Well if sleeping with the dealers is not going to work then im going to Husky!!!! did i read the wrong online policy, i just googled it and must of got the old version, didnt see the post 3rd June idiocy!!! My local dealers stuggle with the concept of proffesional users, this maybe tricky!!!!
  17. With say FR Jones, i have bought face to face therefore "we cannot deliver machines bought online or over the phone UNLESS we have previously conducted a ‘hand over’ with you or you are a known/existing professional user" As i have previously bought and am a pro user i can still buy. Im not too fussed, got too many orange and white saws anyway, but its always interesting!
  18. but surely if you have bought face to face before then you can still purchase online et. i took this off their website! This ‘hand over policy’ means unfortunately we cannot deliver machines bought online or over the phone unless we have previously conducted a ‘hand over’ with you or you are a known/existing professional user. This should not affect many of us and infact draw homeowners to dealers and the others etc to dealers at the same time. Or have i missed the point here.
  19. ive got a guy who fits this decription rupe, will pass your number to him!
  20. Looks simple enough to me, just get a contract climber in with a truck etc. Never get that lot in the back if the hi lux! Good to be cautious of Kretch though.

  23. cool, got the brash off and now to rig off the timber......... it is coming down i hope!!!
  24. not yet, i have just got a contract for 200 stumps at a golf course so there will be a video in due course. i think i have found it limitations today but it did cope well with the big stump.
  25. Got my grinder out for my skidsteer today, no way as fast as purpose made grinders but this stump was big and fair play it got through it! It has a multitip head on it so it pretty quick.
